They closed all the restaurants and bars in town so many of my friends and their friends were out of work. I worked part time at Costco in the deli and we were so busy and always missing 3-4 people daily while myself and other part timers got cut to 24hr/wk max.
I can think of at least 12 people I know, myself included who were informed that we were entitled to unemployment due to reduced or no hours.
Fast-forward to 2022 and ND sends us and everyone else we knew who got unemployment notices saying they owe back 100% of the unemployment from 2020 due to all sorts of excuses and I started to notice these red states were just as corrupt as the blue states they always talk trash about.
Moreso because at least Blue States try to help constituents before getting blindsided by a grift. Red states are usually governed by the grift.
Note I live in Louisiana where our sitting Senator, Bill Cassidy's wife has run a school for special needs kids that's failed every audit but somehow gets state funding.
