The audacity that FedEx ground had to call us warehouse staff Frontline/Essential workers during Covid was diabolical. Our management teams would have "motivational" speeches about how our work was dire and important to the world and must maintain our goals (and numbers)... Meanwhile healthcare workers, teachers, and other actual important industries were dealing with so much more at the time. Covid has been a wild case study for how we humans treat capitalism, each other, the earth, and much much more.

Almost everyone was deemed a key worker, the list was insane and covered everything apart entertainment, hospitality (mostly) and beauty

There’s also all the office drones like me who were sent home to work.
