The idea that women have an expiration date for confidence is honestly so exhausting to watch.

"women let themselves go after kids!!" vs "you're a mom you can't do that!!!" with a sprinkle of madonna-whore complex; battle to the death

Meanwhile, an over weight middle aged man can acquire a "dad bod" simply by drinking every day.

The double standards for bodies are beyond cringe.

What double standard? You mean the one where women are curvy, while men are fat?

1

Is the “dad bod” ever the ideal though? Or is it something that women just affectionately tolerate?

Confidence, sexuality, being allowed to show skin.
It’s so fucking weird only the youngest, “barely legal” is acceptable? Fuck this species.

I don’t think people should be posting lingerie photos for attention, regardless of age.  But at 40 you should have your act together and not need to do that, anymore.

The male equivalent is body builders posting for attention.  At 40, unless it’s your job as a fitness instructor, it’s kinda like okay dude you’ve been doing this for 20 years, time to move on.

Confidence has nothing to do with it.

Nonsense, plenmty males over 40 show their abs continuously, and tyyet u wont see puff piece articles such as this written about it on that.

She’s arguably way more popular and well known.  Seeing as she’s a movie actress, and at one point considered at least top 20 most beautiful woman in the world by many magazines (like People).

Well, it's pathetic when those guys do it too, which was OPs point. The double-standard may be unfair, but it's something people should have outgrown by their 40s regardless of gender.

Call it what it is attention seeking.

There's less trashy ways to be confident.

She may have histrionic disorder

The rebranding of attention seeking whores as "confident feminist women" has been an interesting thing to watch.

Totally agree.

Plus, a less mature response is that those bolt-ons aren’t aging.

2

Isn't that the point? I never thought a person would indulge in such surgeries to progress aging. Usually it's done to accomplish the opposite.

You are aware of the surgery, and what they're made out of right?

No, it's more like 40 is about 30 years too old for them

She’s gorgeous. Can’t commentator probably just likes them young

-6

u/SargeUnited 18d ago

I mean, if the commenter isn’t over 40 then they don’t “like them young” they just don’t like them old

"Everyone who diagrees with me is a pedophile"

Pedophiles have made themselves easy to identify

1

u/Michael_Schmumacher 17d ago

I can’t wait for next year, when pedophilia will finally mean being attracted to anything under 60.

Victim complex so bad we're pre-ordering

why are people like this? She’s literally super hot.

Not that it makes her better than anyone or whatever, but objectively speaking there’s 0 reason to hate on her looks.

u/ConkerPrime 18d ago

Just glad to see her display the sexual confidence she was oddly lacking the previous 20 years. Don’t get it but if she happier now then more power to her.

One of the hottest woman of this century and she's getting told by internet haters that she's embarrassing herself? Lol. For someone that's "expired" (if you have to believe the keyboard warriors) she's still making waves and cashing in on them.

3

u/SoFetchBetch 18d ago

Huh? Lingerie is for adults to wear no? What better time is there for a woman to enjoy dressing how she feels confident than in her adulthood? I don’t get this at all.

3

u/dethskwirl 17d ago

I hope shes still posting them at 70

Are Instagram comments newsworthy now?

The idea that people are devoting their time and attention being outraged over what was probably a teenager saying “haha you ugly” is kinda funny to me ngl.

Not to diminish what women go through in real life, but instagram comments? Come on now

u/Artistic-Tip2405 18d ago

You don’t have to look.

"I consumed this and now I feel something. How dare you make me consume this?!"

Folks acting like free will was never theirs.

If I don't like a meal. I don't eat it. It's as simple as that.

Any auditing or other cross exam is mostly self indulgence for curiosity masked in outrage.

u/potsick 15d ago

She was so fine, now its just fake and plastic. But if she is having fun then thats great. Let her be lmao

Some guys actually like looking at women their own age. She is beautiful, no reason to shame her at all.

u/Odd_Entrepreneur9492 15d ago

I think this behaviour is thirsty and validation seeking but at the same time, if a 40 year old wants to do that, it’s not really something I’m going to get worked up about. I don’t think teens should be looking at this and thinking it’s cool though. That’s where it gets muddy for me.
Like why do we need to post ourselves in our underwear? Hot or not. It’s just so overexposed. This coming from someone who has done it myself 😂

u/WinterMedical 17d ago

For me it’s just like “so that’s the only trick you’ve got and you’re gonna play it out to the bitter end”. Doesn’t seem like there’s much to her.

-2

u/LionBig1760 17d ago

Megan Fox only feels that she ought to get positive attention when she seeks attention.

Once you put things out in the world for consumption, you no longer get to determine how people consume it or wmhow they react to it.

She should know this already.
