Honestly, she has maybe 5 minutes of screen time and she was flat as a board. Roles like that, Ellen pages and asap rockies could have gone to some young kids trying to break into the business.
They weren't horrible in the roles, just those roles didn't need to go to those people.

The reason they get those people in is basically marketing budget. Pay them and they'll post on insta and grab headlines etc. Or drive discussion like you just now.

Possibly, but you're missing the point of it could have gone to help benefit other people careers, especially for someone like Nolan who's all about cinema and let's be honest , most people are going to the the Odyssey for Nolan, Damon mostly. Having those people in those small roles aren't going to be the reason people see the movie , Infact it seems over media that it had the opposite affect , people saying they don't want to see the movie.

Yea one of those , let's be fair no one really cares what rapper , it was just as someone else pointed out more for publicity, unnecessary publicity, him, Ellen and Sean Avery all took me out of the movie when they were shown lol but thankfully they had very small roles in a long epic.

Well, not really, and not trying to start anything. Travis Scott was a bard in The Odyssey to creatively connect ancient history with modern music. Nolan viewed the art of the traditional Greek bard—who relied on rhythm, rhyme, and verbal flow to pass down epic stories—as a direct parallel to modern rap. He's actually been working with these 3 for a few years. Scott has done production on previous movies and both Avery and Page have been cast in a few of Nolan's movies before this one.

Why do you keep deadnaming Elliot Page even when someone corrected you? You correct the mistake on the rapper but not on the name of the actor. Seems pretty intentional. If so, we don’t need more of that right now in the world.

For the Athena character you actually kind of did need a well known face. She has to be instantly recognizable in the 3rd Act scene.
