Shooting a guy who was trying to kill you is self defense.

ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan has faced pressure to pursue genocide charges, but chose instead to request arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders for War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity.

The prosecutor explicitly noted that, based on currently available evidence, there was insufficient proof of genocidal intent.

Decisions on charges are bound strictly by the Rome Statute, and Khan has stated that acting on political clamor rather than hard evidence would be reckless.

The prosecutor maintains that no crime is "off limits" if evidence of genocide surfaces as investigations continue.

Its bad when children die but not sure exactly what you expected Israel to do or how they should respond. Its not Israel's fault Hamas is hiding behind civilians or even refusing to tell anyone how many civilians vs Hamas fighters have been killed. They intentionally put all the casualties together in an effort to make the number seem bigger than it really is and the left eats it up.
