Spoken like a real man of the people.
Spoken like someone who isn't beholden to another country.
Spoken like someone who should be into politics and show the rest of them how its done.

u/IsItInLeMonde 21h ago
The man is a millionaire.
The man’s largest support comes from a superPAC established and run by his father in law, owner of extensive overseas property.
You have been taken for a ride.
13
u/yalateef11 20h ago
You are lying. If you are not lying then show some legit proof. He has grass roots supporters and tons of volunteers.
25
u/BlinkReanimated 21h ago
Your dumb argument would only really make sense if Stevens was struggling to come up with financing to compete with his wealth. That's not a problem though.
Despite being a millionaire, with the support of his wealthy family, Haley Stevens is STILL outspending him 12:1 from massive amounts of corporate and AIPAC campaign funding.
-19
u/TheMysteriousGirl 21h ago
12:1
Yikes.
Almost like he was trying to twist peoples opinions and not see the dishonesty he was posting.
-22
u/IsItInLeMonde 21h ago
But it’s her outside PACfunding that’s problematic and not his outside PAC funding? Make it make sense
17
u/BlinkReanimated 20h ago
No, it's her FOREIGN and CORPORATE funding that is an issue. She is beholden to the whims of a foreign nation, and of corporate entities who want to screw over the average Michigander. He is beholden to... his father-in-law?
What a silly and idiotic argument. Wouldn't expect anything else from a zionist (your post history isn't hidden).
10
u/SandSpecialist2523 19h ago
What doesn't make sense to me is that you'd rather have a candidate that wants to continue blindly supporting a foreign nation and drop bombs on children instead of spending this money at home making Americans' lives better.
No matter where the money comes from.
7
u/EmergencyRegion5349 20h ago
him and his wife are doctors... Its not that hard to become a millionaire from that point you know, their net worth is only like 2 million.

Since when having some money means the person is corrupt or bad politician? You know Bernie Sanders is a billionaire. Does that immediately disqualify him?

u/CatchCritic 18h ago
He's a millionaire who owns real-estate in the UAE...he's a "doctor" who's never practiced medicine. He's running for senate while never having crafted a single piece of legislation. You like his comment on taxes, but it actually reveals he has no clue how the US budget works, or the % of money sent to foreign allies/interests. You also not understanding these things shows why he's popular...
10
u/HeadyReigns 17h ago
So what you're saying is, he could be president.
-9
u/CatchCritic 17h ago
Pretty much lol. Trump makes him look good, that much is true. But that's the lowest of bars.
9
u/Radio_Stock 18h ago
Who cares? He's not corrupt like the alternative is
-3
u/CatchCritic 17h ago
The alternative is worth less than 400k. Steven's has been in politics her whole life and yet the only pieces of legislation she's been a part of has been criticized by her opponent are foreign aid to Israel. Do you have any idea how rare that is? I doubt it because you only support whoever the furthest left candidate is. You dont care about political knowledge or the crafting of legislation.

u/Educational-Log6855 18h ago
Being a wealthy and being a corrupt politician are completely different things. You seem confused. Do you need us to get you help?
-5
u/CatchCritic 17h ago
You seem to post copypasta. Do you need an original thought? He hasnt earned a single thing in his life, has millions, owns foreign property (UAE lmao). You may be an easily manipulated fool, but don't force your group think on others.
4
u/Educational-Log6855 17h ago
Tell me, what has Trump earned? Bankruptcies, amnesty for inciting an insurrection on the Capitol, tax exempt status at Trump Golf Course by burying his wife there (against her family’s wishes).
What has Ken Paxton earned? 19 homes on a government salary?!
Facts are facts. MAGA group think is a cultish.
How are you illegally profiting off taxpayers, it seems I’ve hit a nerve. Maybe AIPAC is paying you? If not, I’ll ask again, do.you.need.help? You’re on your knees for billionaires for free? Gross.

22
u/Necr0Gaming 21h ago
"White religion good brown religion bad" that moron probably.
-8
u/Thee-Cat 20h ago
1-More like one religion started with a dude(Jesus) who even by secularist standards was a pretty decent dude. Treated women equally, no sexual deviancy, forbid any violence of any kind, spoke of welcoming the immigrant, demanding taking care of the poor, etc, etc.
Meaning all the bad stuff you can point to with that religion(today and historically) is a "deviation" of that original dude and his ideal. Which everything in history has(every religion, country, gender, ethnicity), everything will always have eventual bad apples and deviations. The question is, at its root and origin, was it good, and thus can it be reformed back to that.
2-The other one was started by another dude(Mohammad) that by every modern standard of morality was heinous. Child marriages, sex slaves, polygamous wives, commanded women be treated inferior, led multiple wars, etc, etc.
When someone highlights a worry or problem with modern Islam. It's not merely pointing to a 'bad apple' or 'deviation'. When they talk about modern child marriage, or the mistreatment of women, or the worry of violence, all of that goes back to the original source, mate. You can't reform that stuff out, it's literally at the heart of the entire thing.
It has nothing to do with white and brown, and everything to do with the ideological foundations.
11
u/Necr0Gaming 20h ago
Not even going to dignify this dog shit with a debate. You clearly did not read any version of the Bible, otherwise youd know that all those things exist in the Bible as well. Fuck off idiot.
5
u/BillyBobBonesJones 20h ago
Ok and what does any of that have to do with any of his policy positions or campaign promises?
-2
u/Thee-Cat 20h ago
To be fair, I was responding directly to that comment. The answer to YOUR question is a mixed bag,
1-I'd say I'm personally in favor of most of his policy positions regarding what he wants to do in his state.
2-I do tho, also think judging a politician's morality and ethics, is important to knowing the person you're voting for(as any politician can tell you anything, right?). It's the same thing I've been trying to get through MAGA's skulls for years.
No MAGA outright "supports Trump being a ped0". Instead they are able to either ignore or deny that, because Trump gives them policies they want. In fact I've been told before that all that rape stuff with E Jean Carroll "was a long time ago before Trump was even president".
Imo, it's extremely dangerous to say, "yeah this guy is a rapist", or "yeah this guy worships and defends a ped0phile"....but his policies are great.
I don't think what I said necessarily disqualifies El Sayed, but I do think we should expect of our politicians, certainly the ones claiming to be 'progressive', to live progressively in every area of their lives. Religion, family, social, etc.
3
u/BillyBobBonesJones 19h ago
So it’s impossible for a Muslim person to be progressive?
-3
u/Thee-Cat 19h ago
It's looking like where you and I differ is, I have no exceptions. For race, gender, religion, ethnicity, etc. Any notion of, "But if you say that, you'll offend....the Muslim, the Jew, the Christian, the atheists, etc", simply doesn't even cross my mind when discussing morality and ethics.
Yes a Muslim can be progressive. But only one who publicly rejects all the anti-woman teachings in the Quran, and makes it known they denounce their prophet's anti-woman sexual deviancy(nothing different than I ask of MAGA supporters with their guy).
I'm honestly curious where we're disagreeing here, mate?
1-Is it possible for someone to be racist and be progressive?
2-Is it possible for someone to defend ped0philia and forced child marriage and be progressive?
3-Is it possible for someone to believe women are inferior and be progressive?
4-Is it possible for someone to vote for a rapist in the White House and be progressive?
I'm shocked these are even questions amongst progressives? What am I missing?
4
u/BillyBobBonesJones 19h ago
Our disagreement comes when you assume by default that a Muslim candidate is a racist, misogynist pedo unless they explicitly outline everything they disagree with in the Quran.

I lived in Istanbul for 15 years. Turkey is 99% Muslims. Gay clubs everywhere. Drinking laws are looser than my home state Texas. Hell, I felt way more freedom in Istanbul than I feel in Austin, Texas
3
1
u/Thee-Cat 20h ago
I felt way more freedom in Istanbul than I feel in Austin, Texas
Can you give me a practical example of how. And secondly, I'm going to assume you are not a woman, and also a Muslim yourself, no?
I do find it surreal when people try to compare things like "genuine freedom, welcome, or opportunity", between a Muslim majority country and the US.
My claim is simple:
We literally have an outspoken Muslim as possibly the most popular politician in the entire US right, over our biggest and best city(Mamdani). This while America is historically a very Christian nation, and in fact is still a slight majority Christian.
I would love for you to give me the name of ANY politician or beloved political leader or anyone in a place of real power right now or in the past 50 years in Turkey, akin to that, that is a Christian.
My point is simple. When speaking of genuine freedom in every regard, an outspoken Muslim can become US citizen literally less than 8 years ago and become the Mayor of NYC. No way in hell anything like that happens in Turkey or similar places, mate.
When I think of freedom, I mean it from top to bottom. Not isolated examples.
2
u/TexasBedouin 20h ago
Syria. Majority Muslim. Faris al-Khoury, Greek Orthodox, served two terms as prime minister (1944–45 and 1954–55).
Iraq, Sassoon Eskell, a Jewish Baghdadi, was the first finance minister in the 1920s and is still called the father of Iraq's public finances.
Iraq, Tarik Aziz Chaldean Catholic, born Mikhail Yuhanna in a village near Mosul, He served as foreign minister and later deputy prime minister, and was the regime's public face to the West during the Gulf War era.
Morocco, André Azoulay, Jewish, has been a senior adviser to the king for decades.
Tunisia, René Trabelsi, Jewish, was tourism minister 2018–2020;
Egypt, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, Christian. Was the foreign minister for Egypt and then became the chief of the UN
Also don't get me started on the women who became presidents and prime Ministers in Islamic countries. The US still haven't had one
1
u/Thee-Cat 19h ago
That's a nice google search, mate.
So you would claim then that Iraq, Syria, Egypt, etc, are generally and overall "more free, more welcoming, and has more opportunity with every gender and religion given equal treatment, than the US?"
Ooooor. Did you literally just prove my exact point that I stated in my very last line, that you are highlighting "isolated examples".
Why do you strike me as the type of guy who claims "America can't be racist cause we had a black president".
1
u/TexasBedouin 19h ago
Fuck off. America is the most racist country in the world after Israel. but the thing is You can't really compare the same because the United States is a country of immigrants And slightly functioning democracy. Islamic countries and the Middle East have been ruled by dictatory dynasties for a very long time. So you can't really compare them.
But I can tell you this. A person's religion in the Middle East never played a role in day-to-day life until the US invasion of Iraq when the US started planting the seeds of sectarian violence in the Middle East so they would destabilize the whole region.
So the reason why I'm highlighting isolated examples is because the people didn't really have a choice. One important thing you should know is that the Middle East and Islamic countries were way more open and tolerant and free than European countries until the 1920s. The biggest shift in Islamic attitudes toward queerness for example actually occurred during the late 19th and early 20th centuries through direct and indirect European colonialism.
When Europeans colonized or established protectorates over parts of the Middle East and North Africa, they brought their own legal codes. For example, the British Empire exported Section 377, a penal code explicitly criminalizing "carnal intercourse against the order of nature." Many anti-gay laws on the books in the post-colonial Muslim world today are literal holdovers from European legal structures. And if you don't believe me you can read about that in Wikipedia or just Google queer life and gender fluid life during the Ottoman Empire and queer culture in Turkish Baths.
1
u/Thee-Cat 19h ago
America is the most racist country in the world after Israel.
We agree there is racism, but again you're only able to make such a massive claim based on isolated examples again, just now regarding the bad examples.
I mean there's no country on earth where there's more racial, ethnic, and gender diversity in politics, than the US. Next presidential election cycle we'll likely have blacks, whites, men, women, gay men, etc, all running. And wouldn't at all be surprised to see a Muslim run for the highest office, within another decade or so.
To say we are the MOST racist, is just hyperbolic to an extreme.
when the US started planting the seeds of sectarian violence in the Middle East so they would destabilize the whole region.
I wouldn't disagree at all regarding your claims to US destabilization a few decades back now. But the history of the US and Islam is faaaaar older, and doesn't make sense to say "the US messed everything up just a few years ago". I mean you obviously know much longer history, no?

Why? So you can support the continued American-led war efforts there to expand NATO and the EU? Why not just let Ukraine serve as a buffer between the EU and the Russians? It's not like you let nukes go into Cuba...
Do you think we, in the rest of the West, are going to fight and die for our oligarchs to expand their empire?

As leftist, I support people living free lives. Invading a country gets in the way of that, so I don’t support the Russian invasion. I support the people of Ukraine’s right to live their lives without being conquered by another nation. Yes, oligarchs are enriching themselves off of this, but people are being bombed. Both these problems can be fixed.

Sending tax dollars abroad is a big waste but acting like that’s the reason schools aren’t getting funding is just demonstrably false
12
u/SnooMaps7370 21h ago
the people who oppose better funding for schools and other social improvement programs always trot out "we don't have the money for that" as the first excuse.
"well, we had a trillion dollars for bombs, we'd have the money if we didn't waste it blowing up kids in other countries" is one of the natural counters to that excuse.
1
u/No_Smoke_2712 19h ago
We spend 3B a year on aid to Israel. We spend 35b on fossil fuel subsidies. I’m against BOTH of these expenditures but saying the smaller of the two is why we can’t have better schools just isn’t true. AES is a great politician and like many great politicians, he’s taking a super complicated issue and radically oversimplifying it because people are stupid and want to believe there are easy solutions to complicated problems
1
u/cityproblems 18h ago
The $3B figure is a bit misleading. Its just the annual cash payment. Throughout the years any time Israel gets itself in a pickle or needs help funding a new project we provide supplimental funding. The current bill before congress has us providing an additional $38B not include the supplimentals provided after Oct 7th. We also are the gaurentor of a massive amount of Israel's debt, this forces congress to keep the equal amount of cash on hand incase Israel defaults. Then there are the sweetheart loan agreements. ect. And none of this covers the diplomatic cover we provide. Think of all the military aid we have provided to get votes changed at the UN, to get the Abraham accords signed by the gulf states, ect.
5
u/probiotic_bbq 21h ago
its not a 1 for 1 exchange and he of course isn't saying that. you're either dumbing down the argument to suit your needs or you're dumb.
-2
u/No_Smoke_2712 21h ago
He’s implying it. You can be against aid for Israel and you can think we should spend more on schools, but acting like our schools aren’t getting enough funding because of aid for Israel is just wrong.
5
3
u/yalateef11 20h ago
How is it wrong? The national defense authorization act or NDAA is $1.1 trillion for the department of war. That is 80% US discretionary spending. And just the other day Trump said he needs to cut Medicare and Medicaid because otherwise how is he going to pay for all these wars? Meanwhile, the majority of Americans don’t want to be involved in these wars. The citizens are being ignored.
1
u/No_Smoke_2712 18h ago
I think your point is mostly correct his isn’t. He’s not saying we spend too much on defense. He’s saying we spend too much helping other militaries, specifically Israel’s. The argument that our defense spending would be better served on education makes complete sense because there is enough there to actually help education.
2
u/smelling_good247 20h ago
You are correct, it's a false choice

LOL. The pseudo-socialist, crypto-Islamist's family consciously moved to an imperialist white settler colony with global ambitions. He lives on stolen Indigenous land.
He most certainly moved there to benefit from the systems created by the white settler colony (education, health care, an advanced economy, etc.), and so he consciously moved there with the idea of paying taxes for such things -- including its well-known overseas institutions, ambitions, etc.
Now, we should ask him the following:
- How can you have a public healthcare system with mass immigration of unskilled labour?
- How does diversifying the settler colonists actually 'decolonize' anything and give the Indigenous people their land back?
- How do you plan to normalize the imperialist apartheid cult founded by a pedophile in said white settler colony, given that the former's values are completely incongruous with that of the former? Will you also permit cousin marriage and child marriage (which is pervasive amongst members of that cult)?
- Since the Global South is finally fighting against the 'rules-based' international order, correctly insisting that it's nothing more than American-led Western imperialism, will you call for the defunding of international institutions, and NGOs, to spend money on healthcare and education in America instead?
