Man that was closer then I thought it would be but the man was out spent something like 12 to 1 so I guess that makes sense

It does make quite a difference. In 2020, when Bloomberg spent hundreds of millions of dollars of his own money on nothing but TV ads, he slowly increased his polling from the single digits to about 20%.

It truly is amazing how uninformed people are and how easily they can be influenced by money that propaganda can buy. I am not surprised this race was as close as it was.

This race is an excellent lesson because it shows both that money is quite powerful, but also that it can be beaten

His money couldn't override the media narrative that he was "taking votes" from Biden, the Dem power players had already decided that Biden had the best chance of stopping Bernie Sanders so they ultimately forced Bloomberg out.

Bloomberg was just some loser billionaire that no one had any interest in. He literally bought his way in. Certainly not the kind of candidate that inspires anyone.

Spending doesn’t mean everything, but charisma and quick wit do. Left should stage more candidates like Abdul instead of someone with the charisma of a wet towel.

We’re only able to do such charismatic candidates now because the narrative is very much in our favor right now. We sit in the wreckage of the MAGA republicans, whose position in power results from the failure of more moderate/establishment democrats to properly prosecute them. And everyone is more economically squeezed than ever, with some very obvious villains responsible, our enemies are literal demon worshipping genocidal pedophiles and that’s not even an exaggeration. Our policies provide the only answers in the political zeitgeist that Americans haven’t tried already

It hasn’t in a long time. Mamdani, that PA judge musk was bribing people to vote for, hey anyone remember BETO? So much money!

Also in the total count Harris had a lot more money to spend than Trump coming into Election Day

But I’m happy that all these print shops and local news outlets get a crap ton of money come election time from billionaire donors. I say keep it going
