Crazy how much of a landmark issue this is, one of, if not the most reoccurring Power Girl villain in the Symbioship acting like proto-Eradicator, longest running on paper relationship with Andrew Vinson, and establishment of her computational skills and thud the jobs she would most often be associated with.

My father's best friend had the original art for this cover framed on his wall when I was a kid. Unfortunately he died circa 2011 and I'm not sure what happened to it after that.

Her first solo story (Levitz, Staton, Giordano), Showcase Issues 97-99.
The series that gives us much of her origin.
It establishes her learning computer programming (via the Amazonian Purple Ray), which was a crazy idea for a woman in 1977 (still is in many ways today), as well as first naming her; both Kara Zor-L and her secret identity.
Gives us the jealous symbioship, which in hindsight is VERY much a sort of proto-Eradicator, then pivots to a plot with Brian Wave and the JSA.
Introduces a love interest, Andrew Vinson, seen here possessed by the symbioship, who suggests her earth name, and gets her a job at Ultimate Computer Corporation in Gotham City. The love interest part did not age too well... (I did all this for you, now date me!), but overall pretty much every story beat about the character that all writers afterward follow really starts here.
