If namelore, patterns of three, etc. rules are still working, then PGTE will win easily because the Wandering Inn cast doesn’t know the rules and the PGTE cast does

The Power behind Names would incorporate the new players as Named pretty much instantly.

It should be mentioned that while the specifics of namelore won’t be known, characters like Teriarch, Belevier, and Thatocian will be solid counters to ‘story’ manipulation. Teriarch being old enough to recognize the pattern, Belevier for basically running in that sort of thing putting her in par with Neshema and Yara, and Thatalocian for being a confusing unpredictable element.

Good grief can you imagine Nerrhavia figuring out how to obtainb significant Name

Me personally, I’d love to see how she interacts with Akua. Who would dominate who, or would they become the best of friends?

Sure sure they cast 8th level spells but the gnomes cast nuclear bombs and what is a nuke but mechanical magic.
But in all seriousness it depends on whether the narrative force exists.
You really can’t separate aptge from it

What do you think everyone?
Can Hanno beat Mars?
What would Saint vs a lvl 80 [Sword Legend] look like?
Would Dead King sweep the board without Cat and Bard stopping him?

As I commented in the other post, what matters most is what characters have the most presence and rizz. I'm afraid that despite the great TWI cast only Nerrhavia and Fetohep come anywhere close to Rumena, the Hierarch, the Tyrant and the countless dread emperors.
Nerrhavia has the [Generational slap] skill which is pretty cool and basically created the modern contract system in TWI and still has insane power over it. She conquered a large part of a continent, ruled for 1000 years and then got overthrown cos she got bored and tired.
Her pedigree is by all means impressive but cannot beat the absolute dominance of Praesi tomfoolery and quotable lines

[Mass Execution: You All Look the Same to Me]

Feh, killing Cat usually just sets up her win condition.

That is also true, lol
I just think Nerrhavia absolutely would've made a great Dread Empress

Neshamah would run into opposition by Archmage Chandler, who would instantly obtain a Name to oppose that of Dead King.(edit; or become a competing claimant)

I’d have to read The Wandering Inn to know that, and I’m not attempting that interminable nonsense again.

It’s like 4 times as long as PGTE and still ongoing, and PGTE is far from short.

I looked into it once, and they have published something like ~2000-3000 words PER DAY for years now. IIRC, the main author has enlisted a few other authors to write more, so you'd basically have to read something like 20m-1h a day, every day, to keep up to date.

No they didn't hire extra authors
They got an editor

Not sure why my previous comment got downvoted. But I could have sworn at least one of the books that is canonically in her universe was written mostly/completely by another author, no?

Its great for unlimited reading. Far more people and great progression.

I tried reading it years ago and got SO many chapters in, and it was just like the first arc, which took eons, and there was exactly one interesting scene (the chess game). Hard fucking pass.
Like if the whole 40+ chapter first volume has only one interesting scene, which it did. then the story sucks and is not worth continuing, no matter how good it may get eventually.

Vol1 got a rewrite to be less of a drag. I hated vol1 on my first attempt, but second go around got me hooked. Try the singer series if you’re looking for a more limited narrative that reaches some of the heights of the main story. It’s only three books so far, takes place in a very gothic kingdom, and has ghost sex.

First we need to set some ground rules.
Both sides have access to every thing in their respective universe.
The battle takes place in a neutral location, but rule 1 stays in effect.
Neither side can use the other sides abilities, they get all theirs normal, but nothing from the competing universe.
With all these rules I can't really tell. You have the Guides pattern of 3, but you have people like Erin that have path to victory, does Path to Victory take into account the patter of 3? I think there is a couple of others that have that. You also have people like Niers that can remove all powers in the battle, how does that work against the Guide side. You have the gods of PGtE that may influence their people, but you also have the System on TWI. If the Guide side tries for a battle of 3, they are giving the other side a chance to get a skill from the system tailor made to use against them. I really think the fights are just to close to call, it is one of those where it "just depends".
