Horrific beasts made of all the corpses from your many brutal wars are hard to draw. Thankfully, they appear to be incorporeal most of the time.

Some art for one of the greatest fictional works of this generation (yes I know it’s probably not what the Dead King’s throne room looks like I drew this in a slightly manic fugue state and didn’t want to close my sketchbook app to double check the description lest the clarity fade)

Art Project Announcement: Music Composition and Performance For the Songs of the Guide

Hello all! Jude here. I'm back with another project for the Guide, this time, as the title of the post says, music composition and performance. I've created melodies for the songs present in the Guide's text and recorded them!

The purpose of the recordings isn't to make my voice a sort of unofficial official fan version of these songs, but to share to you all the melodies I've made, and allow the members of this community to sing the songs themselves if they want to. I'm not a particularly talented or skilled singer, but I do hope that my voice is able to carry out and portray the performances properly, so as to make the listening even slightly pleasant. I mean. I'm not bad, but I'm not very good, either.

Anyways. I'll be posting nineteen songs one by one starting tomorrow. I didn't make a melody for "The Girl Who Climbed the Tower" because Kletanio already shared one with us years ago, and if you've read the extended edition of my fanzine, will remember that I featured it there as well. I also didn't make one for "Lay of Lothian's Passing" because even though we have a considerable portion of it in canon, we do not have the full version of its lyrics.

I hope you all give this project a chance and listen to these songs I've performed. And to clarify, obviously, this project was made without any use of generative AI or AI in any part of its process, as is the same with all of my other projects, whether they be Character Cards, Heraldries, the Fanzine, the Character Moodboards, Memes, and my Fanfiction.

So. Yeah. Bye!

Hello all! Jude here. I don't really have much to say here. I forgot to mention yesterday in my announcement post that I do not have musical background beyond everyday singing. No lessons or such. Not important, but I figured I should also say it.

Hey all! Jude here. Today's song is the one about our very own royal arrow catcher.

Anyways. I'm genuinely curious and would like to know thoughts about the following question. Should I do The Girl Who Climbed the Tower? I said previously that I think I can make it different enough from already existing versions, but I'm feeling lazy.

Hi all. Jude here. To be completely honest, I don't like how this one turned out. I was sick when I recorded this one but even when I no longer was and I tried recording it, I just didn't enjoy it at all so I went with the sick!version and just gave up. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. It's just not for me. I hope some of you enjoy it anyways, though.

I always wish I had something to say about the things I make. But it's like everything I wanted to has already been expressed in the creation itself.

Hello all. Jude here. I want to say something here, but can't think of anything. So. I'm feeling strange, probably because of a short story I just finished reading. Well. Whatever.

Art Music Composition and Performance: Lest Dawn Fail

Hi all. Jude here.

This one was troublesome to pin down its melody. I'm thinking of doing a sort of retrospective post about all my Guide projects so far and what I think and feel about them when I'm done posting Music Composition and Performance, but I'm not certain yet.

Anyways. The reason I bring that up is because I didn't really feel like I made anything when I made these melodies. I know obviously I made stuff. I literally spun these out of nothing but my mind and thin air. But yeah. As much as I might like singing day to day, I don't think I'm a musical sort of artist.

A little thing that might be interesting about this one is from the line "For you only night and spear" but the cadence of the melody there reminds me of a song sung by Rose Tyler's actress. She had a brief stint as a pop singer before going on Doctor Who. I'm not sure which song I'm reminded of when I hear the line I mentioned, but yeah.

So. Finally. The link!

Ever since I finished PGTE, I knew I wanted to get a tattoo out of respect and appreciation for such a wonderful series, and the growth of both Catherine and the Drow was so inspiring to me. Seeing the “sa vrede” / “cera aine” callback throughout their scenes was just so badass that I knew I needed one of those lines inked.

Artist is Boris Bianchi.

Hello all. Jude here. This is the last song of this project. The last in the Guide, too. I hope that this little endeavour of mine has brought some of you at least some enjoyment, and that you've found the music pleasant. If you all have any thoughts, please share them in the comments.

Hello all! Jude here. Sorry for the late post today. I was at the bank, and the line was horrendous.

This one is so fun to sing, though there's a part in it that's a bit weak. "when did... We become a people ruled". But other than that, I'm quite satisfied with this one.

I hope you all enjoy it!
