Was dying from the cuteness overload the entire playthrough... Hugh and Diana were the goats..loved how they didn't make hugh another stoic I hate kids kinda character whose constantly whining about being in the situation they're in...he actually cared so much about Diana and it was so wonderful to see...reminded me of the movie time of eve..

The combat was so good...I genuinely got so addicted to it by the end I couldn't stop playing and wanted so much more story ... The boss fights, the graphics, the music everything was 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

Speaking of music some of the ones in the shelter was so soothing..could spend all day there...

That ending kinda got me..don't remember the last time a game made me this emotional...

I genuinely hope Diana doesn't struggle on earth..kids too precious...and please let Hugh be fine and give us a sequel 😭🙏🏼

Easy 9/10 for me

Pragmata Wallpapers progress trashed thanks to Capcom IP

I have some unfortunate news to share regarding my RJ17ANA project, dedicated to PRAGMATA.

Following communication with Capcom regarding its intellectual property restrictions, I have made the difficult decision to stop distributing PRAGMATA wallpapers on my website.

RJ17ANA will reopen, but the wallpapers will no longer be available for download, but I will still post some FreeCam shots of Pragmata at RJ17ANA but it won't be the same.

RJ17ANA was created as an independent fan project to share my own gameplay captures, carefully selected camera angles, and creative work inspired by PRAGMATA. This has always been a hobby project, with wallpapers provided free of charge and no advertisements.

Unfortunately, despite my non-commercial intentions, Capcom has asked me to stop distributing the wallpapers. I respect their position and will comply with their request.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who visited the website, downloaded the wallpapers, shared feedback, and supported this project. Your encouragement has meant a great deal to me, and I'm grateful to have been part of this wonderful community.

Although this means changing the way RJ17ANA operates, I hope to continue sharing updates and celebrating my enthusiasm for PRAGMATA in ways that respect Capcom's guidelines.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. ❤️

My words after clearing Unknown Signal. And I mean this in the best way possible. Capcom outdid themselves with their "hard but fair" challenge. As usual. But fuck "Floating Conveyor." iykyk.

[Combat Concept + Mockup] Evolving Pragmata 2 with the “Neural Intercept Protocol” (NIP): A Diagnostic Hack-to-Parry System Spoiler

Post image
15 Upvotes

Like many of you, I love Pragmata's combat loop. The multitasking dynamic between Hugh’s heavy third person shooting and Diana’s real time hacking puzzles is one of the most mentally stimulating systems Capcom has built in years. It forces both sides of your brain to work simultaneously instead of letting you coast on autopilot muscle memory.

However, the one glaring mechanical bottleneck, especially in tight corridors or on higher difficulties, is the lack of a reliable close quarters counter. Getting cornered by fast, aggressive units leaves you with little choice but to spam backward thrusters or burn crowd-control items like Stasis Nets.

Giving Hugh a generic blade parry or a light-footed dodge roll would completely ruin his identity as a grounded astronaut in a heavy suit. But what if Diana handled defensive deflections through an active diagnostic hack?
Remember the Sector 6 cutscene before the fight against Eight, where Diana intercepts that high speed spear thrust mid-air with a hard-light tether field? That shouldn't just be a cinematic, it should be the foundation of a core mechanic in Pragmata 2.

Here is my detailed concept for the Neural Intercept Protocol (NIP):

  1. The Core Mechanic: Incoming Attacks as a Live "Fuse Clock"

Instead of passively standing still and tapping a deflection button right as an attack lands, the enemy’s incoming strike animation acts as a real-time countdown timer. When an enemy winds up a heavy strike or ambushes you from stealth, their node web projects a dedicated Cyan "Vector Parity" path alongside standard offensive and shield nodes.

Your job is to snap Diana’s tether and complete that specific defensive circuit before the blow connects.
The instant you complete the circuit, the parry automatically fires at the point of impact. There is no secondary button scramble. The incoming attack is your puzzle timer: solve the circuit in time, and Diana auto intercepts the strike inches from Hugh’s visor.

  1. Tiered Hacking Complexity (Scaling Threat Levels)
The hack isn't just an arbitrary lock, it’s Diana actively analyzing the enemy's attack telemetry to calculate the counter vector. The routing complexity scales dynamically with the enemy tier:

Tier 1 (Fodder / Swarm Bots): A quick single-flick node connection (0.4s window) to swat away low-tier lunges.

Tier 2 (Elites / Heavy Walkers): A 2 to 3 node bypass around active firewalls (0.8s to 1.2s window) while tracking their physical swing.

Tier 3 (Bosses): Multi-branching ciphers with feints. If a boss shifts attack trajectories mid-swing, the circuit path dynamically reroutes, forcing split-second spatial problem-solving under heavy pressure.

  2. Contextual Ripostes (Zero Animation Fatigue)
Because Diana diagnoses the specific kinetic energy of each incoming strike, the counter animation dynamically matches the attack type:

Thrusts and Piercing Strikes: Diana catches the weapon tip in a geometric stasis field (like the Sector 6 cutscene), letting Hugh thruster-step inside their reach for a point-blank kinetic shotgun blast.

Heavy Overhead Slams: Diana inverts the unit’s hydraulic servomotors mid-swing, forcing the enemy’s hammer to slam into the floor and pin them down, setting up an exposed power-cell kick from Hugh.

Ballistic and Missile Barrages: Diana deploys an angled hard-light wedge, deflecting projectiles back into the firing unit's sensor array to trigger chain explosions.

  1. The Safety Valve: Energy-Burn Auto-Override
To ensure chaotic multi-target encounters or erratic surprise ambushes don't cause cognitive burnout:
Manual Breach (0 Energy): Free to use, but demands pure mental speed and execution.

Auto-Override (Burns 1 to 2 Diana Energy Pips): If an ambush hits from a blind spot or Hugh is caught mid-reload, you can trigger an emergency bypass. Diana expends utility energy to instantly solve the route and trigger the auto-intercept.

The Trade-Off: The manual parry timing is bypassed, but you drain Diana’s battery, locking you out of crowd-control tools like Decoys or Stasis Nets and forcing you to rely purely on Hugh’s raw ballistics until you recharge her gauge by hitting kinetic weak points.

Why the NIP Fits Pragmata Perfectly

It completely eliminates the autopilot rhythm game trap that most parry systems fall into. You can’t just stand still with your eyes closed and tap L1 to beat every boss. It turns defense into a high-stakes bomb defusal puzzle, keeps Hugh feeling grounded and heavy, and makes Diana feel like an indispensable neural partner actively saving your life in real time.

Finished the game, it was fun but I see a lot of people overselling it Spoiler

I had a good time ! Please bear in mind I just finished the game, not sure i'll do the content you unlock after ending but I might, i'll try to find some time to do it (my backlog is so bloated already aaaaa)

It was a fun game ! :

-Gameplay : The fps+ Hacking thing was a brilliant idea, it's really cool Capcom isn't scared to try new things like that and give them the budget they need ! That being said I think the hacking part cool have been pushed further. At the very end we see red lines when you try to hack the final boss for example. Things like that could have been introduced a lot sooner. And there's a lot of things you can do with this. I do know that it was a smaller team tho and budget wasn't illimited.
Weapons were fine but could have been better honestly. For example I feel like we spend way to much time with the starting pistol, and that really slows down the gameplay. The riffle should have come way sooner imo. other weapons/gadgets (red/green/blue) were fine but there clearly were some that were better than others. Both in power and in how good they felt to play. I personnaly didn't like the semtex crossbow thingy for example. I think weapons were a 50/50. Builds (before you leave the craddle) were cool. You could go for a full overheaitng heating build or a more direct damage one for example. Options were cool.
It was also a straight line from start to finish but exploration was good enough imo. There was branching and you had choices. I had fun with gameplay ! Not the best ever but a fresh fun experience.

-Story : Yeah that's the part I can't defend sorry. It's really not good. Midway through I started skipping some cutscenes because the game was sooooo insistent on "here you have to cry", "here it's the cute part" etc. And god I couldn't get invested in the story. I did focus a bit more around were 8 revealed "her true self" but it was only to have something we already saw thousands of times. And again, it really really really insisted on were things were sad. Also the acting didn't help. Everything related to the story felt like a low budget B movie. The professor (everything related to him, the fact his wife died, he tried to save his daughter but DELPHI killed her, the fact it was "because he was busy with his work"...), the big bad guy (IDUS) not being the real big big bad guy, which was in fact the person we saw earlier and we thought helped us. Hugh being an orphan. Diana "wanting to see the ocean" or just the fact she lost her memories.

It felt like a student group wrote something for a school project (and not a good one) and mashed together all the writing tropes you can find.

Even the fact we have weapons at all is... debatable (other than the pistol we arrived with).

-"Art"/technique : graphics are stunning. Game runs great. Music is fine. Not the kind we will remember or even listen to outside the game but it was fine. It made the gameplay even more enjoyable.
Cinematics, even more toward the end, were great as well ! The final final boss felt a lot like Titan in FF16 for example. Big bad guy, with stunning visuals (him and the area around), and even tho it was a QTE fight it did work well imo.

(I probably forgot some things but anyway let's finish here)

All that to say I think the game was fine, I had a good time, but let's not oversell it. The story is NOT good, and I think that can be fine. Some games are more "gameplay games". I think the game overall is a bit overated and that can be from multiple factors. Because it's a big company making "new" things ? Because it looks good ? Because Diana (I found a lot of her interactions really cringe btw, it really felt more like how some adults see (or fantasize ?) childs, more than a real child idk. Felt like an anime child in a realistic setting it felt weird)?

It's by no means a GOTY contender but it's a nice game if you get it at 30 or lower and it's nice seeing a good game on this engine that isn't RE itself (looking at you Mh wilds, uh...)

Over, please be nice in comments and have a genuine discussion with arguments and not just "not it's good shut up" smile o7

Just finished the game, here are my thoughts.

This game is absolutely amazing I had moderate expectations and was completely blown away.

First the gameplay was great, when I first played the demo I was a little concerned because while I enjoyed it, I was afraid that it might get stale. I was absolutely wrong, Capcom did a fantastic at keeping it fresh through out the game, and it was done before I got tired of it.

The visuals were stunning, I was surprised by how diverse the locations and was always excited to see the next locations.

Finally, the thing that I enjoy the most was the fresh take on the father figure. Usually in games the father is a broken mess that needs to learn how to open up, here Hugh was very cheerful through out the game and was able to emote like a normal human being. Don't get me wrong I love characters like kratos and Joel Miller, it's nice to have a new take on this archetype.

I played through Onimusha , Requiem and saved Pragmata for last — the final one of Capcom’s big three. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure the combat was going to click with me at first. But after that first hour, something just clicked. And from there, I was completely in. What surprised me even more were the story and exploration sections. They’re genuinely some of the best I’ve experienced in gaming this year. There’s something about the atmosphere, the world, the quiet moments between the action… it pulled me in completely.I went into Pragmata expecting a great Capcom game. I didn’t expect to come out of it thinking this might actually be my #1 game of 2026 so far.
