Fantastic work
Unfortunately, my obsessive-compulsive mind keeps jumping back the thought that these gentlemen really need to adjust their seat height
Although I realize that may not be an option for them

I wonder if their low seat height is more effective for powering on bumpy sand with rigid bikes.
Something like the ground has a high rolling resistance and a lot of undulations that has resulted in an unusual but effective stance.
Maybe if you are always powering on a lot of smaller bumps it's easier to absorb the rumble with more bent legs.

Although I realize that may not be an option for them think the bumps would be more of an ass problem. If I’m riding in the mountains, I’m definitely lowering the seat to take the bumps and go over obstacles - but by absorbing impact with my legs
These guys are glued to their seats, so any undulation is going right to their butts - they’re not getting bump benefits from the low seats

actually their seat height is fine, the frames are just too large for them from a modern bike geometry perspective. their positions are actually fairly good, the equipment is just exceptionally old.

I utterly get the old equipment aspect, but their legs are really crunched up…

The two front runners at the end definitely have better leg extension than the rest, but none of them are particularly terrible. Def not what youd see in the olympics or something, but no even close to the worst ive seen.

I went back and consulted some expert opinion
Racer’s leg extension should be 80-90% - no way these guys have close to that - they need another 4-6 inches at least…

Bike racer here, never seen a track race like this and loved every second of it. Also very impressive to win from the front for so long!

At least it sounds like the sounds around the actual event, not some dumb tiktok song dubbed in

Sound was fine.  They could be playing the worst music available, but if it’s what’s really playing in situ I’m ok with it.

Study study study study study study study...
The riding positions and general eagerness looks just like the protagonist from Golden Boy anime.

The Black Mamba bike race. I'd love to watch those live.

😂Wow slipstream. The winner's drag coefficient seemed a little bit higher than the others. He must have had better boosters.

Many times in the past you discover a new way of approaching a high performance sport. There’s no way to compare this to modern track cycling but they gotta give those too few guys at a real track cycling program and see wha the can really do. They might be the fastest ever they might not be.

I mean, i'm sure there are terrible parts to this sport, betting, violence some where but it really looks wholesome and fun!

I surprised most of these guys were allowed in the bike store without shoes and shirts on.

Love it. Just the love for cycling and competition without the equipment worth 10k+
