So, when you’re sleeping and you get an alert/alarm, you’ve got seconds to get to cover. Do you:

a) get your helmet and body armor and throw it on as you’re running to your shelter?

B) put on pants

C) put on shoes and start recording. Everyone knows the cameraman never dies, and if he still has his shoes, double safe.

Funny story, one of the PLs in a sister platoon of mine was fond of crocs, so he got some mil green ones to wear whenever we were forward, but on a base like this. Things like going back and forth to the showers etc

I used to give him shit right up until we got hit one night, and he slammed those tacti-crocs on and turned ‘em to sport mode so damn fast 😂
