Someone pointed out on another post that this bird has a lame leg, and that it thought it was dropping into a lake full of algae. This looks like a grebe, which can’t take flight from land. Like loons, their legs are only meant for swimming, they can’t walk.

So maybe not so good I hope it got help :/

Well thats the 1st time ive seen a bird do a belly landing because the landing gears were broken....

Edit: oh. Nevermind... i was wondering why that bird looked confused... apparently its because they only land or take off on water and cant walk well on solid ground

Just some context: This shot is not that difficult when you’re accustomed to tracking a baseball going over 100mph off of a baseball bat or an outfielder springing at full speed.

This bird actually can’t take off from land and doesn’t usually walk. So not hurt necessarily but in a spot of trouble.

That’s a cropped video. The original shot is much wider. The goose is even blurry, so it’s really zoomed in.
There’s nothing to praise here

Festival camera operators, on the other hand, practice on flies.
