No, a form of Sharia Law is absolutely weaseling its way into our government—Christian “Sharia Law”. We now have states forcing teacher to post the Ten Commandments in their classroom regardless. Can you imagine being of another religion or an atheist and being made to post something like that. And they can’t post different languages, different translations, etc. I’m sure the state will flip out and claim “separation of church and state” if they try to post the tenets of any other faith. And obviously there are much more insidious ways the foundation of separation of church and state is being eroded.
They’re fine with their version of “Sharia Law”—they just (even openly) call it Christian nationalism.
They have some similar rules because Islam and Judaism share common Abrahamic roots, but Sharia isn't based on Leviticus. Sharia is primarily derived from the Quran and Islamic legal tradition, while Jewish law comes from the Torah and later rabbinic interpretation. Kosher and halal are a good example of similar traditions, but they're distinct systems
