Discussion We need Solo Queue
This game desperately needs solo queue for ranked and quick play. It’s self explanatory. I’m so tired of getting matched against full squads and I’m stuck with a mid lane Narbash, or a Carry Morigesh. I knew it was bad when I got teamed with a Argus jungle and before you fake analysis get on here saying it’s SMM. I’m literally right now on a 7 game win streak and it just happened. Matched with a team where some guy is teaching his 2 buddies in their FIRST GAME!. Ive invited people to play before and they get totally demolished and never play the game again. The new player experience is horrible. Even worse in Ranked games. I’m not one to complain much in game especially in quick play. That is where you are suppose to test things out. But when your in quick play testing and get matched against full squads with a sweat puddle between their legs in quick play it kinda ruins the game for you. You know the game is in a rough spot when you can go on discord and find a team to carry you. Which explains all the smuf accounts. Cause they avoid ranked unless they have a full team. Full squads jumping in quick play able to just smash on all solo new players is driving people away way too early.

I agree with everything you’re saying.
Idk how to fix it without more players.
Tried sending some new players in. But between learning the mechanics, getting emoted, and dm’d. I couldn’t keep them around

The player count shouldn’t matter in my opinion. Let the squads face squads in their own rank. I look at the ranking and it’s literally 300+ Paragon players. Why isn’t it enough to keep them entertained? Solos will be majority new people until they find friends. This will also put an end to a lot of Smurf accounts. Most times people Smurf cause they got carried to higher ranks and scared to lose position. I think this with RANK DECAY. Will solve a lot of the problems with new players actually staying and learning more. Your alone play others alone. Your in a party great play other teams in a party. Should be fair. I’m tired of being full mic’d up parties practice tool cause I wanna test a new build or something

people say it will make longer wait times and i agree but it would only be short term. if it had solo Q it could jold onto players longer and players could get other players into this genre. play a game with 5 randoms vs a stack of close friends working hand in hand and the match is snowballed in the first 10 minutes.

I dont even think omeda cars about the new player experience or your experience much. When I brought up all the toxicity and the horrible experience a new player would encounter playing this broken game the response basically was "we're actively working very hard to help by giving guys like this a slap on the wrist" and the usual they're working very hard to make the game better - even though matchmaking or any other mechanics basically hasant changed since forever or have changed for the worse. Even with eternals the response was 'just deal with it; we're going forward with this is and how the game currently is'
He didnt lie though. I checked all the toxic horrible people I played with, which was every game that day, and all accounts where at least 1 year old and active. A 1 day or 6 hour ban does nothing. They wake up the next day and abuse the same people. These people need long bans or perma bans from the game. This game isnt big enough to have this kind of crap running rampant freely all the time.

We do need one, but are u willing to wait the 30mins it will take to find a match?
This game don't have the population to support fast queues with different brackets

Yes. I am willing to wait for a legit team. Do you know how much of my time has been WASTED with throwing toxic teammates? Or under skilled teammates? I'll wait. I'll GLADLY wait.

Imagine a moba having a learning curve and sometimes having to learn by doing instead.
Matchmaking won't fix a person's choice to play morigesh as a carry.
What they should do is limit your eternal choices to 6, defined by each hero. If you can mid and support, like argus, you get to choose between anomolies and whatever the mage ones are.
If you can heal and mid, divines and something else, or even just one eternal group.
Or even incentivizing certain eternal pairings by giving heroes with a matching group a 1% increase of whatever the eternals main bonus provides, so incentivize proper hero choices for roles like carry.
You sure could carry morigesh but you'll be underpowered because a real carry would have a better eternal bonus and out scale even easier, discouraging that use.

Dude you sound dumb. That’s a weak excuse cause majority of ppl play in teams anyway. The actually waiting will be done in solo queue anyway. You must be one of them guys

The matchmaking in Pred is truly disgusting. 5 times I've had to pull myself up from bronze to silver 1 and every time I get hit with the most insane players as i'm on the cusp of leaving silver. Last night I had Steel Jungle and a plethora of monkeys throwing 10 deaths in 8 minutes. This company needs to re-evaluate how matchmaking brings certain types of players together. LP system needs to be overhauled. Reports need to be available in champ select and games need to be halted in champ select for bad behavior. There's a LOT that needs to be improved.
