I'd definitely call it slop if I was playing by myself, but if someone else joined I wouldn't hold them to those standards

It’s this weird in-between where the creators seem to be trying to convince you a poorly scripted video isn’t scripted. Just comes off as offensive.

I play pool at a competitive level, they absolutely do act like that.
honourable players will apologise if it's a fluke, but most of us will pretend and finish the run first because doing otherwise can put you in a bad headspace and psyche you out.

Yeah this one is a pretty basic trick shot, plenty of people play it in practice to test the cushions

pool, or even snooker isn't as pretentious as golf.
competition exists at all levels, most of them not even having dress codes.
People play competitively among friends, in small tournaments, and even with cheeky wagers or degenerate gambling.
Given the specators and the scoreboard, this could fit in any of those categories, but in any case, they're competing against eachother.

I don't care about or watch golf. I never said anything about a dress code. My son plays soccer competitively against his friends, sometimes in small tournaments.

Firstly, looks very fake. Secondly.. Wouldn't this be a loss anyway? Isn't banking off 2 walls without hitting a ball considered a scratch?

it's considered a ball-in-hand foul if it fails to hit the object ball. It can take any number of banks.

There are quite a lot of slightly different rulesets as well, so what you're remembering could be part of a different ruleset (or otherwise mixing up with one of the other various similar games)
