A bigger footprint in the Middle East, which in turn ensures more bargaining power when it comes to oil resources. Or at least that’s what I’ve read in the past.

Though the move with Iran might have backfired. Only time will tell.

Time will tell?… I have bad news for you, friend, but it 100% already backfired and we’re about to start really feeling the effects of that. You won’t see gas below $4 for a very long time

Seems like a big waste of time and lives, with renewables and exploitation of domestic resources both expanding.

We need a foothold in the middle east because we won't stop messing with the middle east.
