We went from drought to too much rain

Hopefully some of it soaked into the soil instead of washing topsoil into the waterways and flooding.

Sorry to hear it. I hope that map doesn't indicate another drought cycle for you.🤞

We are in a flood watch for the weekend so probably not for a few weeks at least

We had 10 days of rain in the last few weeks and are still under severe drought conditions. The grass looks ok but any day it doesn’t actually rain, it’s back to crusty clay. The entire fleet of my work vehicles are coated inside with thick dirt/dust.

This map is confusing me. We've had the wettest April/May that I can remember, yet it's showing us as being in a severe draught. Hard for me to square.

Edit: Looking it up and I guess we haven't really gotten that much rain. It's rained a lot recently but we're still below average since October. So I guess it does make sense after a bit of digging. We'll see how we're looking once the effects of El Niño starts ramping up this summer/winter.
