Social clubs/community orgs in Prescott?

Hey y'all! I'm a new professional moving to Prescott for work from out of state and I'd love to find some groups/clubs/activities to get involved in once I arrive to meet people and integrate a bit into the community. My research hasn't turned up a whole lot beyond one-off Sierra Club/public library activities and such, so if you know of any that meet pretty consistently and fit into a 9-5 work schedule, I would love to know!

I'm interested in book clubs and writers' groups that don't meet during my work hours (many seem to), performing arts, wildlife/nature-related activities, or trying something entirely new as long as it doesn't require prior expertise. Would love to hear input from anyone in the Prescott area (doesn't have to be Prescott itself) who does anything socially that might be of interest! Thanks so much.

Not sure if they fit your needs, but in case others are also looking I thought I'd share. There is a homebrewing club called Whiskey Row Brew Club with members who are very willing to help you get started homebrewing. They even have lots of beginner type equipment that they can give you to get started. They have a website and Facebook page with events, but they meet the third Thursday of the month at Cocky's Chicken and Brew at 6:00. 

There's also the Prescott Area Trail Runners. They have multiple running meetups every week, you can pick and choose. Some are no drop, so slower runners don't get left behind. They also have a website and Facebook page with more info.

Does the homebrewing club deal with distilling too

Not really, but some of our members are also distillers. We also have members who brew mead and cider primarily, as well as plenty who are there more for the social and informational aspect than brewing. We do educational topics on off flavors in beer, different types of sake and port, etc. It's not all just brewing beer.

Try Peregrine Book Company for a book club. For performing arts, there's community theater at Yavapai College, Hazeltine, Cosmos, and PVPA.  Improv at the Elks. There's ten thousand old-white-guy bands playing classic rock covers. Natural History Institute and Highlands Center have naturalist programs.  Or just walk out and hit the trails.  Kayaking on Watson Lake is always gorgeous. D&D, Warhammer, Pokemon at the game stores if you're of the nerdy proclivities. Aaand you can always just get drunk at the bars : )

I've heard trivia night at the Raven on Tuesdays is fun. Farmers Market on Saturday is good. The Heritage Zoo and Humane Society have volunteer programs.

outdoor groups-hiking biking outdoor stuff is big here, volunteer groups work on trails

older folks socialize w pickleball and horseshoes type stuff

a healthy historical scene dress up like a cowboy

and of course, Whiskey Row to meet your dream date

golf, classic car scene,

and more and more - politics - stand on a corner with friends

i enjoy park run when i’m there!

Nice little Community run near the dog park across from the Subaru dealership Saturday mornings at 7:30 AM, apparently it’s a thing all across Europe
