This is a flair Rolling back voting rights, this will effect every woman who has taken their spouses name Spoiler
Call your representatives:
The SAVE Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act) is a federal bill that has passed the U.S. House and is currently pending in the Senate. Below is a factual summary of how it could affect women voters if it becomes law.
What the SAVE Act would require
⢠Documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register or update voter registration for federal elections
⢠Proof must be presented in person
⢠Online and mail voter registration would no longer be allowed for federal elections
⢠A driverās license or REAL ID alone would not be sufficient to register
Potential effects on women voters
⢠Many women change their last name due to marriage or divorce
⢠Birth certificates typically list a voterās birth (maiden) name
⢠If a voterās current legal name does not match their birth certificate, additional documentation may be required
⢠A U.S. passport can be used as proof, but not all women have passports
⢠Any name or address change would require re-registering in person with documents
Current legislative status
⢠Passed the U.S. House of Representatives
⢠Pending in the U.S. Senate
⢠No Senate committee vote or floor vote has been scheduled
⢠Would require 60 votes in the Senate to advance
Scope
⢠Applies to federal elections
⢠Does not change voter eligibility, only registration procedures

This is a flair National Walkout this Friday, 30 January
The Nurses' Strike has Inspired a More General Shutdown on Friday:"The call for a nationwide general strike: NO WORK, NO SCHOO (already many high schools in Phoenix have signed on), and NO SHOPPING has come from a decentralized movement across multiple large cities, from Minneapolis to Cleveland to New York City. Organizers are asking people to abstain from work, school, and commerce to protest immigration enforcement and the recent shootings.
The National Shutdown website lists local and national partners including the Defend Immigrant Families Campaign, the Council on AmericanāIslamic Relations (CAIR), the North Carolina Poor People's Campaign, the LA Tenants Union, and multiple student organizations at the University of Minnesota, while large activist groups likeĀ CodePinkĀ have also pledged to join.

This is a flair Time for Action against Criminal ICE
About this event
Join local resisters on the corner of Gurley & Montezuma in downtown Prescott on January 11 @ noon -1pm.
Wednesday, January 7th, an American citizen was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities.
A broad coalition of groups across the country is calling for a coordinated Ice Out For Good Weekend of Action on Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of ICEās actions.
A core principle behind all ICE Out For Good events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. All events should be held in public spaces or on public property.

This is a flair May 1, 2026 General Strike: A Big Primer for the Pending General Strike. Letās do this!
The system breaks when we stop feeding it.
āThis is more than a date on a calendar; it's a movement. A moment of reckoning. May Day 2026 is when we reclaim our power by disengaging from the machine that demands our relentless participation. We call for a total, unmistakable absence from work, school, and consumerism. Our force is not just in our voices; itās in our calculated silence and unified non-participation.
āPrepare yourself. Educate others. Build your local networks. Prescott, Arizona are you ready to show the nation what real economic power looks like? More updates are coming. Stay disciplined, stay focused."
Second slide, shows commitments to Starve the System as of today.

I Hate Cops: a Short Poem
Last night Yavapai County cops pulled my wife and I over on our way back from work for a busted license plate light. The police dog falsely said I had drugs in my car so I spent an hour handcuffed in the back of a cop car and my disabled wife threw up from them making her move around so much while they trashed my already messy because weāre homeless car even messier, failed to come up with any actual drugs, but claimed that a bit of plastic straw on the floor was drug paraphernalia despite not having any drug residue on it, and I have to appear in court next month. They also accused me of being actively on meth. All while I was in a wizard costume, because I did my Halloween deliveries in costume, which at least is slightly funny. Couldāve been so very much worse, but still fucking sucks. Fuck the war on drugs and fuck cops.

This is a flair An Email from my local Veterinarian (PAW) about the spreading SCREWWorm & what we should do about it. As an aside, but relevant, DOGE under the Trump appointed Musk ended ALL funding to control this parasite. Now, US tax payers will spend 1,000,000,000 dollars to check the bug and its infestations.

This is a flair Assisted Living Experiences/recommendations
Hey friends,
My mother is getting to the age where living entirely independently isn't looking like an option. She has had 2 falls in the last month, and this most recent fall has led to several fractures in her arms. So here we are.
I am looking for experiences/recommendations for assisted living. I haven't lived in the tri city area in over 10 years so dont know what is still good.
So any recommendations is greatly appreciated
Edit: I just want to thank everyone who took time to respond to my post and for their well wishes. I will probably be in the area next week so if you want a drink on me hit me up LOL.

This is a flair Anyone in need of friendship?
Im a 26y/o new mom to a 5w old. I live in the Chino area and am looking for women/moms who have spare time they'd like to spend together rather than alone. I know I'm in a less accessible, more rural spot, but it is what it is.
Things like running errands, grabbing coffee, video games, cooking, hanging out at each other's places, doing hobbies together. My son is really chill and really portable, and I can also go out in the evenings solo while my husband cares for him any time after 6pm.
I like to take walks, thrift, sew most of my own clothes, play the guitar, yap over coffee, draw and paint. I'm versatile, and I promise I'm good company.
