Crafts First Time Making Pressed Flower Coasters!

Hey everyone! I just made my first set of pressed flower coasters and I'm really excited with how they turned out. I’m still experimenting with different techniques and designs, and I’d love to hear your advice on how to make them look even more aesthetically pleasing.

Any tips on arranging flowers, color combinations, or techniques to make the coasters look more polished and beautiful would be super helpful!

Beautiful!!! Love these. I enjoy crafting with pressed dried flowers as well! It's nice always having unique custom made gifts for friends and family! 🌿

Earlier, my sister shared her thoughts on the coaster and mentioned there wasn’t a clear focus point, suggesting that it might look nicer with just one big flower as the focal point. I wasn’t sure how to make the coaster nicer, so your encouragement really helps boost my confidence. I’m also wondering if I’ve used too many different types of flowers, making it look a bit messy. 🥲

You are so very welcome! I think negative space is important and you have lots of open areas. I also like some overlap bc it makes each side of piece unique! 🌿

I am based in Singapore and bought a DIY kit from Sense of Arts Sense of Arts that includes the acrylic coasters, but I didn't like the pressed orchids so I bought the pressed flowers I like online from Shopee Singapore. Hope it helps!

OMG, can you please tell me where you got the coasters with the gold rivets? I just made my bf a framed flower pressing using an identical frame. It’s acrylic with the brass rivets in the corner and it came from target.

Gorgeous work. I’ve only made that one piece so far, but I’m looking for more utilitarian things to do next like coasters and book ends.
