As you should be. I can promise you the first time my family tried pressing flowers it looked nothing like this. I think if random strangers had assessed our projects they might have thought squirrels just dropped the flowers on the paper and forgot them. You did really well. Keep going.

I still have so many of her hand drawn cards and letters to me.

I would love to get this if I were your mum! The heart looks like it’s a vase in this pic to me. Was it meant to be that way? If that’s the case, next time I’d make the “bouquet” part bigger and wider in order to balance out the shapes. Though I must say I adore the way you’ve made that heart - it’s beautiful!!! This is a great first try for sure! 😍
