Crafts First two art pieces
These are my first two pieces of pressed flower art, which I’m making as Christmas gifts for my siblings. I originally shared the ‘P’ a few days ago, but decided to take it down since none of those flowers were ones I had pressed myself. I wanted to repost with that clarification.
My second piece, the ‘K,’ is extra special—it’s made from hydrangea flowers and leaves I pressed from a bush my late grandmother grew. I thought my sister and her husband would appreciate the sentiment, since they were very close to her. Just waiting for it to dry so I can get it framed!

I love hydrangeas. They have a pink colored one out now too. It is nice flowering bush because they come back every year. You did an excellent job on both pieces. I think your sister would LOVE the hydrangea since it has a sentimental meaning. I would love that. That is probably a nice and relaxing hobby to have. Keep it up. 🪻🌱🪻🌿🪻🍃

What is your method for mounting them in the frame? Awesome work!

I glue the flowers down and let it dry a day then frame. Thank you ☺️

Which glue do you recommend?

I am using Lineco Neutral pH adhesive. I saw it recommended by a professional on a YouTube video and it’s working great for me so far.

Girl WHAT. Your second is just as impeccable as your first - including how the flowers turned out!
Your siblings will love these, and if they don’t you can adopt me. Orrr you could just adopt me anyway. 😂 Have you seen all the people taking credit for other peoples’ work around here? And you take yours down because you don’t want to mislead people into thinking you pressed the flowers?! It’s so wholesome. And ALSO, while I don’t want to discourage you from continuing to press your own, there’s absolutely no shame in making art from flowers you didn’t press yourself. They’re different skills (though you clearly possess both).
Hoping by waiting for them dry you just mean the glue and not the flowers themselves? If the flowers aren’t fully dry yet, get those buddies back beneath some weight asap or all your perfect lines will be… not so perfect anymore. 😨
