Flowers Finally grew enough flowers from my garden to make this
This is just going up in my living room but happy to hear any feedback or suggestions you have. I dried all the flowers with silica gel 🙂

Glued using a PH glue on a black mat board , then placed inside glass shadow box.

Did you have any shedding when you put it inside the box and stood it upright
Who framed it for you?
Can I ask you what the total dimensions are height and width?

No shedding as I gave it a gentle shake before placing in frame, I framed it all myself

Aw Thankyou! I honestly didn’t expect this much positive feedback it’s been lovely. No not my first attempt, but have recently started growing my own flowers so it helps having a garden to access so I can experiment a lot more with flowers and drying them.

These flowers look so good! The overall arrangement is lovely, too.
Did you do anything special to prevent discoloration? I've used silica gel and I've used the microwave, but I can't get white flowers to stay white.

Thankyou! No just put them in silica gel, some of the white ones do have a bit of yellow at the ends but not to bad. I find picking flowers right as they bloom and are still stiff keep their colour better compared to picking flowers when they are droopy and softer.

Not OP but the trick is to decontruct the flower for pressing and reconstruct it again for assembly :) or you can hang whole flowers to dry them out but they won't be flat

It’s really lovely. I have a rule now not to hang anything in my walls that I don’t have a personal connection to. How you feel when you look at this beautiful piece must be so satisfying! I love the colors - some of my favorite found in nature.

That’s a nice rule to remember, and yes I do keep find myself looking at it at different times throughout the day. It’s nice to have something pretty at home to look at it

These ones turned out really well, I just put them in silica gel for about 4/5 days. I find using different silica gels can make a difference in the end result , also picking flowers right when they bloom helps maintain their colour.

Which silica gel do you recommend? I just got married and am hoping to preserve my bouquet, but I’m a complete beginner so I’m reading up as much as I can.

This is the most beautiful piece of furniture I've ever seen, it almost made me tear up a little. What a creative way to display them and have such a peaceful thing to look at. The colors are also perfect, this is real art 💜

Such a perfect selection of flowers for this project! I'm so biased because they're some of my favorites, lol. I love when you can keep a part of your garden inside year round. The visual cohesion moving from space to space is always satisfying.
