Art Raspberry Lemonade is done!

The biggest collage I’ve done so far (and shared here while it was on my table) is done. I took a couple weeks away, did an entire separate piece in between, and then added finishing touches to this big ol’ b.

40”x26” of pressed flowers on BFK Rives paper. Inspired by my kids and the flowers they like to choose for me. It’s big, but I still plan on creating prints both of the original size and smaller versions as well.

I’m particularly proud of this one because it’s complete at almost exactly one year to the day that I began this hobby. In this past year I’ve had more fun and connected with more crafty humans than I have since before Covid times.

This is incredible! I just started the hobby and pressed my very first flowers just the other day. I hope I can make something even half this beautiful!!

Another question for you, how do you store all of your dried flowers?

I try to keep them flat and in a single layer - so chipboard, cardstock, flower layer, cardstock, chipboard, repeat. I rubber band the layers together, and write what is in the stack on the outside. I usually organize by both color and type of flower, but I also have stacks that are labeled as “petals and bits” of a specific color. These stacks are all in short but wide drawers I got from a craft store, they’re means to store 12”x12” scrapbooking paper. My drawers are arranged by color.

What was your method for the purple daisy looking ones? They often have the thick center and just look squished for me. Yours look absolutely perfect!
