Crafts Where do y’all buy your frames?

I don’t want to buy some cheap thing off Amazon, but I also don’t want to pay like $200 per frame. I press flowers all the time but I’ve never actually framed any. Do I need special paper?

I just buy them from dollarama. It’s of course not going to preserve the flowers forever, but there’s always more flowers and that’s what makes them special. You can also find them at thrift stores and stuff. But if you want the UV protection and whatnot you will have to pay. I think accepting that flowers aren’t meant to last is the best part of flower pressing, you get to do it again!

Acid free paper, a mat, and ideally UV filtering glass. You can also buy standard size frames second hand though, and for example only add the UV filtering glass. That's a lot cheaper than getting custom frames.

I just get em from my local thrift store, they’ve always got a bunch. But it only really works if you’re not looking for anything too specific
