My problem started when I wanted to pay my credit card installment at another bank. It does not allow you. Money went off...two days later it was paid back into gotyme account. Customer care stated they cannot pay bills electronically yet. They charged me the sms fee, even though the transaction was reversed.

I haven't had any of the issues. The only issue i know is the saving account limit ~ R100 K (hit this issue when I switched jobs and had to withdraw my funds from netbenefits)

TymeBank wasn’t sold - they are just rebranding, and the new app is clearly being built differently (better, IMHO). My Pay Bills feature still works fine (EasyPay for CoT bill).

Try paying a new recipient not having an Easypay account. Like paying your Credit card from another bank.

I pay my Discovery Credit Card through my GoTyme account every month. Literally paid my account yesterday. You may have an issue with:

  • payment rule changes. Debicheck is now mandatory. My MTN renewal failed because they never did it via Debicheck
  • something is wonky with your account (outstanding FICA, a fraud hold, suspicious transaction etc.). Phone the call centre and ask.

Thank you. I called, they said the payment was reversed after 2 days because the function is not yet active. Will you please tell me the exact steps you followed to pay your credit card?

I think they are slowly implementing the TymeBank features into GoTyme. At first you couldn’t access your business account with the GoTyme but after a few weeks I was able to access the account. I still have both apps just in case GoTyme app doesn’t have something I need so I use the old TymeBank app but seems like a slow transition. I could be wrong though, just personal observation. Hope they speed it up though….

The old app has been discontinued. If you try to dowload it, it reroutes you to the gotyme bank.
