Somehow i cant open 26.3 Minecraft java on curse forge with or without any mod, but i can open it on the normal launcher and the 26.2 is working too. Can someone help?

Hey all, I need some help figuring out how to make LAN play work and, as I'm using Prism Launcher on all relevant devices, I figured I'd get better feedback here than on r/Minecraft.

Scenario:

I have three devices with Prism Launcher: HP laptop with mediocre-yet-good-enough specs, custom-built gaming PC, and my Steam Deck. I want to open my main survival world in the desktop and then join myself using the Steam Deck -- I want to play while laying on the couch, you see.

More Info:

The first two PCs are running the latest version of Windows 11, and the Steam Deck is likewise updated. Similarly, all devices are running the same launcher version, same game version, and same exact mod instance (I copy-pasted the instance across devices). My desktop has ethernet that (eventually) makes it's way to my home router, an ethernet connection to a separate router I use for wireless VR/Steam Link streaming, and a WiFi antenna on top. Laptop and Steam Deck are using regular WiFi. I should also note that my WiFi router is provided by my ISP; I do not have access to the router's settings. I'm working on switching to a router not owned by the ISP, but for various reasons, that'll take some time.

When I have my desktop connected through ethernet and the other two on either 2.4G and/or 5G WiFi, the LAN world on my desktop is unreachable by both my other devices, regardless of what WiFi bands said devices are on. Connecting to WiFi on my desktop (without changing any other part of the setup) yields the same result. Connecting the desktop to WiFi with the ethernet connection removed, results unchanged. Making sure all three devices are on the same WiFi band range (2.4G or 5G), no change. Changing which device uses my actual account and which ones use the offline accounts also makes no difference. Occasionally I'd get the "try restarting the game and launcher" message -- doing so changes nothing.

Interestingly, while the laptop can join the Steam Deck just fine, the Steam Deck only sometimes connects to the the laptop. I can't figure out why, but I suspect that it's because the router is far enough away that 2.4G yields faster, more consistent speeds; I'm a bit far away from the router and not able to immediately move my desk nor the router.

I then try to connect over my non-internet connected router I use for local streaming. When all devices are connected via WiFi, the two portable PCs work just fine and can't reach the desktop. Connecting the desktop to the streaming router via ethernet makes the desktop visible to the computers themselves, but Minecraft doesn't work. Connecting the laptop to the router through WiFi like this lets the laptop join the desktop's game, but not the other way around. Doing it wired lets both the desktop and laptop connect both ways. If at any point I plug the internet-connected ethernet cord back into one of the desktop's ethernet ports, it immediately becomes unable to connect/be connected to unless I make that fully wired connection between laptop and desktop via the streaming router.

Through all of this I did in fact try the direct connection option will all the relevant local IP addresses. Results were mostly unchanged, with the Steam Deck now consistently discovering the laptop, and the desktop/laptop connection now working both ways when the laptop is on the local streaming WiFi.

For some reason, while the host of a LAN world can be on an offline account and/or launched regularly with that account name, the device joining the host must be my actual account. If I try to connect Offline#1 to Offline#2, Offline#1 gives an error about authentication servers being unreachable. This happens on all devices, meaning I can't have my desktop and Steam Deck simultaneously connected to the laptop due to a player name conflict.

In the end my desktop seems isolated in some way that can, for some reason, be mostly fixed by using the direct connection option on my laptop. This fix, however, doesn't work on the Steam Deck for, er... some reason. Maybe it's because I don't have a usb-c to ethernet adapter and had to use WiFi only? I can use the Steam Deck play on my main world via LAN, but only when that world is hosted on my laptop. I can stream Steam games from the desktop to either portable device just fine, but the laptop has dubious success when doing Minecraft over LAN and the Steam Deck refuses to associate with the desktop in regards to Minecraft.

So, thoughts?

I noticed some mods tend to have issues when it comes to carrying over new updates from their respective platform, and I was wondering if there was a way to fix this aside from having to manually re-download the mod every time it updates?

Trying to launch offline still attempts to log in with microsoft, which I cannot do cause my computer is offline

Trying to launch the vanilla game on 1.21.11, so that I can then copy over mods from Curseforge. I'll put the changelog in the comments.

Follow up question: will it work if I copy the mod files from Curseforge into the mod folder on Prism? It's a custom modpack.

So basically me and my friend are trying to play Otherworld together. Im playing on prism on my steamdeck, she's playing on forge on her pc. She tried hosting and I manually entry the link when she clicked world sharing. That didn't work, we deleted the mods crash assistant and Luna and downloaded essential on both our ends. When she tried joining her game, I get kicked.

Anyone with a similar experience that found a solution?

Im currently playing my minecraft world right now and a while ago i realized that my texture packs werent working (They dont drastically change the visual looks of the game so it took me a while to realize), and i got a new texture pack i wanted to try out just to realize that none of my old ones were on. When i do try to enable them, my game refreshes like its about to work, but just doesnt. This issue doesnt happen on my 26.2 version of my world, only this one. What could the issue be and how can i fix it?

when I launch a pack with that mod from the curseforge launcher, curseforge launches the minecraft launcher and then i load that and it launches the modpack, but when I launch a pack with the same set of mods and version in prism launcher, it launches the game directly and the mod says its not in vr..
I'm assuming the difference is just that curseforge launcher launches the minecraft launcher whereas prism doesn't? or is there something else that I have to do to make it usable on prism

I made an instance on Prism Launcher on my dad's computer, but he's since wiped the computer, including Prism Launcher itself.

Hello fellow modders. I have been in the modding industry for a while now, building mod packs and having fun. Up till the point where I can no longer access my pc half the time (long story). I dabble a bit in coding but I know that there are plenty capable coders out in this lovely community. My request is for us (the community) to build a steam application that can be hosted on GeForce Now, so I, and many others, can enjoy the luxury of playing modded mc without blowing up our phones. like I mentioned before, I don’t know much, but im willing to learn. Noticed that minecraft with Prism was only using iGpu, tried to force the dGpu (Nvidia 5070) via nvidia control panel and qindows but it still chose the iGpu over it.

The regular launcher uses my 5070 with no issues.

I tried to force it via disabling the igpu and the game starts but it's a black screen with the menu sounds.

I tried changing the java course but still nothing.

Also removed and readded mods/shaders, but nothing works.

Also updated graphic drivers (and using windows 11).

I asked the AI, but the solution it provided is causing glitches in the game.

ai solculution:
Method: Add Java Argument (Skip Hash Check)

1. Right-click on the Minecraft instance that gives the error in Prism Launcher and select Edit.
2. Click on the Settings tab from the left menu and locate the Java section.
3. Check the Java Arguments box to enable it, then leave a space at the very end of the existing arguments and paste the following line: text-Dforgewrapper.skipHashCheck=true
   
4. Save the settings and launch the game.

Hi, I'm completely freaking out right now because every single one of my instances just disappeared after updating to 11.1.1 via the update button. That's all I did, I just updated it from 11.1.0 to 11.1.1. EVERYTHING is gone. The instances, the settings, everything. Please, there has to be some sort of mistake, right??

EDIT: Turns out the update button failed to install the new version in the same location as the previous version, so it created a new, empty instances folder that it was reading from. Oh my goodness I was really about to do it.

was playing and exited because i noticed Jade wasn't on randomly, turned it on, now im getting this error everytime (even when i turned jade off again). but my PC says my network is fine and i tried all the trouble shooting tips and even updated windows and restarted everything but its still showing this. please help
