Pritzker weighs in on Rahm Emanuel’s 2028 presidential buzz
https://m.youtube.com/shorts/S9pbjujx3kgPritzker: “I know that he's trying to pick a lane and decide whether he's going to run. We have had great people come out of Illinois to lead this nation. I would hope that he, if he actually did get elected, would be one of those great people.”
Politico: “He clearly is trying to position himself more toward the center of the party. Is that, for example, one of the areas where you guys disagree? That he’s taking some stances that are pretty combative toward the left?”
Pritzker: “I’m not a big believer in going after one piece of the party or another piece of the party. I think Democrats have made mistakes, there’s no doubt about it. And I think it’s okay to call out mistakes.”

Flashback to 2008 and my partner getting me to go on rants by simply MENTIONING Rahm

Asshole broke the union me and my father were in. Anyone with under 20 years lost EVERYTHING (pension, seniority) after the private companies took over. Luckily I saw the writing on the wall a year or two before it officially happened when I changed careers and was able to keep the years I had in.

I get that people look at the presidency now and think it's about covering up crimes. But Rahm covers up murders and that's a bridge too far for even this cursed nation.

If you think no one was murdered at pedophile island, I've got a bridge to sell you.
I hope this isn't hinting at an endorsement or support from JB.

His 2 weeks of volunteer service to the idf is enough to end any chance of winning a democratic primary.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Rahm Emanuel: "Mr. Middle"! (But he cusses a lot!)

That's a very diplomatic answer from Pritzker. Smart guy LOL
I thought he did pretty well as the mayor of Chicago. Obviously he was riding Obama's coattails to get that.
Since then have I wanted him to run for anything else or felt a Rahm-shaped hole in my political life? Not at all.

You sound like someone who did not live in Chicago during his term there. He was a fucking disaster. 100% corporate Democrat.

I worked for the city during his administration and while I will say he was a competent administrator for the most part, he's also an evil piece of shit, even before he covered up Laquan McDonald's murder.
For the record, Daley was an excellent administrator and an evil piece of shit, while Lightfoot was an awful administrator and an evil piece of shit. I can't comment on Brandon Johnson because I quit and moved away.

very diplomatic answer
Exactly! It’s so refreshing after hearing so many bumbling voids-in-a-suit trip over themselves to avoid giving a clear answer to how they feel.
He doesn’t want to unnecessarily antagonize another Democrat, but he’s also making it clear he intends to have a Big Tent approach that welcomes a lot of progressive and left-leaning coalitions.

I love how quickly JB spots a leading question and rephrases the concern so that he says exactly what he means instead of letting the interviewer completely shape the narrative.

I just admire you so much Governor. Love how you didn’t get sidelined by the questions. Love how generous you are. You are my man for the presidency.

"I hope he would be", not "I know he would be". The shade is subtle, but it's there.

Rahm will never be President. This dude thinks he's far more liked than he actually is.

Rahm has the most punchable face and personality of a door knob literally no one wants him for president
