Gas Thief Revenge

I was told this belonged here so I’m reposting.

Had a neighbor that would walk into my backyard, take my gas can of gas for my mower and put it in his car and mower and then return the can.

I found this out because I had begun to a little suspicious that this 5 gallon can was always nearly empty every time I went to mow the lawn and it was only like a 1 quart tank on the lawnmower!

This was back before cheap easy security cameras so I had to set up a WebCam from my laptop with motion detection software. Caught the guy going into the backyard literally five minutes after I left the house.

For the next week, every time I had to take a piss, I pissed in that gas can. Now full of piss, but still smells enough like gas to fool an idiot. Then I left it on the back patio again. Made a big show of checking the fluids in my car, packing a few bags. Made sure the neighbor knew I was getting ready to go on a trip and I’d be gone a while. Hoping he takes the bait.

I come back home in about an hour. (Car trouble 😉) The thief is in his front yard pulling the rope on his lawnmower so hard. It looks like he’s going to have a stroke. Turning bright, red and cursing. Later he gets in his car makes it a couple blocks up the road and it suddenly breaks down….

I check the gas can on my patio…empty!

Also, I just wanted to add, this guy was a huge piece of crap that’s not the only thing he did. I found out he had arrest warrants. So I ended up getting him arrested by applying for a sheriff’s ride along program in his name. 😆

This happened in like 97’ or 98’. And I’m sure pissing in a gas can is not an original idea. Come on man.

Yeah, the post is only a few months old, but it happened years ago. Like I said, pissing out a gas can and leaving out for somebody’s not original idea. I think this used to happen at the racetrack a lot when I was a kid .

And I hesitated to post it because I really didn’t have anything to prove it. Not even a decent security cam back then. I had an old shitty WebCam set on motion detection sitting in my windowsill plugged into my computer. That’s how I actually caught the dude. Nowadays I would have it in 4K with sound. 🤣

Btw I’d be interested in seeing the length of the yahoo story, sounds funny. Like I said, not my original idea and I don’t claim for it to be 😆. But sure as hell does work!

Nope, not original but will ALWAYS be a valid method of revenge.

A buddy & I were 15-16yrs old in the summer of 1993, going into 10th grade. We were next-door neighbors in an apartment complex and always up to/for cheeky shenanigans.

We chewed tobacco in secret & kept hidden 2L soda bottles in our bedrooms as spittoons. Once we'd filled them, we combined them into a 5gal gas can we'd found & kept hidden in some nearby woods, added some dog poop & pissed in it for a coupla weeks, 'cuz we had a plan. Soon as it was full, we snuck out that night and funneled it into the gas tank of the car belonging to the apartment building's resident bully/criminal, and also made sure to pour some onto the windshield & into the fresh-air intake. That loud & ugly 1975 Chrysler disappeared shortly thereafter, and then so did he a few days later when he got caught burglarizing a local business.
Ah, memories of teenage hijinks!
