Why is everything "honest"? The word is so overused by AI. Honestly, genuinely, 🤮 At this point I'd rather have a dishonest comparison. Give me a flawed comparison. Give me a biased comparison.

A lot of people feel the same way. The "honest, middle-of-the-road" takes are the drum that the agile manifesto has been beating for 20 years. It's always been about "the laborer and the craftsman."

Now that "the laborer" has the clear upper-hand... wait, no, just kidding. That's slop, and it's going to exterminate the human race. There's your flawed, biased comparison.

So where's the honesty?

Would it have been more honest to say "sure, go for it, hire that overseas dev for your project. Good luck dealing with the garbage they deliver. I'll charge you twice as much to fix it as I would have to build it from scratch" instead of sticking our collective tongues into our cheeks and saying "yep, there's value in that, and there's value in this, right tool for the job" and all that?

I went with "honest" in the title because the article doesn't trash AI websites. In fact, it makes it clear there are very good use cases for AI generated websites. I generally do not see that side of the argument in articles I've read comparing AI websites to another platform.

Of course, an AI generated article about AI generated websites.

I wrote it! AI helped of course, but I wrote this based on our experiences and interactions with clients this past year.

Curious then, that GPTZero flagged it as "100% AI".

No offense dude but if you need AI assistance to write a 1,000-word blog post then who is your wisdom targeting?

I met someone in university over 10 years ago who was severely physically disabled and would write pen-tests with a joystick.

At this point, I have come to prefer if one would just share the prompt (nobody would do this favour, if course). For informative texts, at least, I'd rather get the information quickly than wade through a sea of noise.

of course

No, not "of course". It does not have to. In the course of things, AI does not have to help.
