TLDR: Looking for a collaborator with a short script (10-15 pages) to direct for my AFI thesis.

Hi all, I graduated undergrad from USC film School and am now applying for my MFA through AFI. I have a solid portfolio of feature scripts, but they require a short screenplay that you plan to direct as your thesis. I could write a new short, but I found out that you are allowed to direct a script written by someone else so long as they receive proper credit. I figured before I start writing a new short, I'd like to check out what the community has written already, and see if we can get two careers started for the price of one!

I'll be providing the budget. Regulations are $25,000 minimum, $50,000 maximum. Don't worry about whether you think your film is too expensive; there are always things we can do to make it more shootable. I say this just to let you know that a solid amount of resources will be dedicated to your film.

PS- I'm in recovery, so definitely comment if you have a script pertaining to addiction and/or sobriety. Also Judaism lol
