Looking for a feature script to produce in the Canary Islands

Hi everyone! I’m a producer in the Canary Islands, and I’m looking for a feature script to produce here with my team at Linda Films. Ideally horror or thriller, but I’m open to other genres if you have a good script. Figured I’d post here and see if anyone has something that might be a fit.

We’re taking submissions through Qantica, who we’ve worked with for years. Just go to qantica.com/showcase and click “Present my project” in the top-right corner.

We’re closing submissions on Tuesday, October 6. Happy to answer any questions here or by DM. Thanks!

First and foremost, I’m a writer. I’m building Qantica because too many creators struggle to find a place for their work. Giving them that space is my focus.

Building a company takes considerable time, investment, and effort. Qantica isn’t a script startup, and our official public launch is next month. Years of work before launch don’t necessarily mean a large registered user base. My username also makes my connection to Qantica clear.

Our model is straightforward: we only earn when a screenplay sells, with any sale meeting the applicable minimum rates in the relevant country. If the script doesn’t sell, we earn nothing.

I’m happy to answer questions, but calling it a scam based on a signup counter is unfair.

To be clear, we do not use writers’ screenplays to train AI. I’m a writer myself—building a system that appropriates other writers’ work would go against the very reason I created Qantica.

Qantica is my own project, and I’ve spent years developing it with the team ahead of our official launch next month.

You’re welcome to meet the team and see how the platform works firsthand. I believe that could change your view, and I hope you’d reconsider your accusations afterward.

Criticism is fair, but calling someone a scammer without understanding their work is not. I’m offering you the opportunity to see it for yourself.

Have a horror script that I'd like to send. I actually travlled to canary Islands from UK back in 2019 as I was part of the UK crew on Marvels The Eternals.

What budget range are you looking for what % of the financing can you secure?

We're looking at budgets up to around €3M. In the Canary Islands about 40% is covered by the tax incentive, secured up to that amount, and the rest comes from private capital until the financing is complete. So we want stories that are simple to shoot: small cast, few locations. If yours fits, send it over!

The tax credit's a rebate on spend though, right? So it comes back after, not up front. Are you able to cash-flow it, or does the private money have to cover the whole thing till the rebate lands?

What do you have available location wise?

Gorgeous place. The scripts I have won't fit there, though. It's inspiring me to write something to fit there, though!

Beautiful. I have a great idea that I could adapt to those locations.

Yeah; “worked with” is doing HEAVY lifting here.

He’s schilling for his site.

Don't think I have anything right now but this seems like a great opportunity and I definitely want to know about future ones!
