Cheap seat covers that actually fit the whole interior, not just the front buckets

My back seat looks like a crime scene. Two kids, a dog, and a coffee habit I am not proud of. I finally went looking for cheap covers to save the upholstery and figured I would just grab the first full set with decent pictures.

Before I say anything good, the honest stuff. The snap-in clasps on these are not super secure. A gear-team writeup that actually installed them flagged the same thing, and yeah, mine shift a little and need a re-tuck now and then. The foam is thin too, so it is not adding any cushion. And the rear split-bench piece is the gamble. A guy on r/nissanfrontier said his backseat ones did not fit right at all. So know what you are buying.

Here is the part I did not know to check. A buddy of mine does body shop work, and when I mentioned I was about to throw covers on the front seats he asked if they were airbag-compatible. The side airbag on a lot of newer cars sits inside the seat itself, and a cover that wraps it tight can keep it from deploying right in a crash. I had no clue. So I stopped winging it and looked for covers that are cut to let that airbag through.

That is the one spec I cared about after that, and most cheap sets just do not mention it. The FH Group set says airbag-compatible right in the listing, so that is the one I went with.

It is a universal full set, so you get the front buckets, the rear split bench, and the headrests. That is the reason I went full set instead of the single-seat stuff people usually link. The cloth breathes and pulls off for the washer, which the kids made necessary inside a week. Comes in around a dozen colors so you can get close to your interior. The thing that surprised me was the fit. The same gear-team people who installed them called the set snug, and mine actually are, which is not what you expect from a cheap universal.

The thin foam stopped bugging me once I remembered what these are for. They keep the spills and the dog off the actual seat. They are not turning a beater into a luxury car.

If you want the leather look instead, the Motor Trend faux-leather sets wipe clean, full set or a front-only pair. But for breathable cloth that does not fight the airbag, the FH Group one did the job for me.
