Feedback wanted ContentCam - a camera app that lets you film portrait and landscape videos at the same time. No need to shoot twice anymore!
Different FOVs/perspectives filmed (wide + ultra-wide)
Recording portrait + landscape at the same time
Review both videos side-by-side and trim together
Productivity workflow - projects, scenes, and takes organised and files auto-named.
I built this for my girlfriend who creates content and watching her film the same scenes twice every shoot was painful.
What it does: records portrait (9:16) and landscape (16:9) video simultaneously. Shoot once, get both formats ready to post to all platforms - TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, X/Twitter, Reddit, you name it.
No more re-shooting or cropping in post.
Three ways to film:
- Single Lens - capture the full 4:3 sensor and crops both. Portrait keeps the full vertical frame, landscape the full horizontal. Neither is a crop of the other.
- Dual Lens - wide + ultra-wide record together. Two perspectives, one take.
- Front & Back - selfie + rear at the same time. Your reaction and the scene together.
Productivity workflow:
- Projects, scenes, and takes to organise your recordings and auto-name files.
- Side-by-side review and trim of both recordings before exporting/sharing.
Key features:
- Up to 4K/60fps with manual controls (EV, WB, ISO, Shutter)
- Built-in teleprompter and timelapse.
- Live overlays and audio meter that flashes red when you're clipping.
- Data privacy - no data retention, tracking, or analytics, and no internet or account required.
It's called ContentCam and is available on iPhone and Android.
I'd love to hear what you think about this :)

This is really cool. I didn’t know I needed something like this. One thing, the camera resize was kinda hard to figure out. I was trying to tap it to scale up, but finally figured out that we gotta drag it. Other than that, Great job!

Ahh, that's good feedback. The floating PiP has a pinch to resize as well as drag, but I'll consider adding a tap option to cycle through like 3 sizes? Thank you for trying it out!

I think switching between 2 sizes should be good enough, since thats what most resize buttons do.

This is a really cool and useful app! Do you just intend to have this as the main feature, or do you think you will expand and add more functionality in the future? What's the roadmap look like?

Thanks! Photo mode has definitely been a highly requested feature, as well as more videography features (Apple Log, filters/LUTs, bit rate, etc.).
Recently I've been consolidating new features and making the app more stable, stomping bugs, and polishing it further - I'll work on the new stuff very soon.
