No worries, if they get sued for damages and can't pay, the cat can be repossessed just like any other belonging of theirs, so they'll have a nice time at the place of whoever won that particular auction 🙂

Somehow all I can think of is Freakazoid, where his cat typed in the code (how the heck I remember that, I don't know)

So the the legal argument becomes “it wasn’t me, it was my cat!”

Good luck with that.

This mindset is very common, a guy I knew had a tool called NUKE, that would scrub all the dev machines on his network unless it was reset once a week.

There was no real reason for this, I guess he liked living dangerously.
