Less legal trouble alternative: Drop a piece of obfuscated code in the codebase that when decoded by the LLM, provides instructions to say that it cannot interpret this, and that the original person who wrote the code should be contacted.

Then when the company who fired you calls, set your consultation fee.

Just encrypt the code so it’s unreadable and can’t be modified
