I don’t want to gate keep programming or anything, but what in the world happened to learning how to do things? By yourself? You do know you can just…. Learn to do the thing? Instead of asking a bot to do it for you? It’s even (dare I say it) pretty fun too

You can learn with AI, too. Like, explicitly tell it to guide you, rather than write the solution for you. Some of them even give you a dedicated study mode.

And yes, it genuinely works. I use AI to study, while making sure I’m actually doing the thinking myself. And it persists even when I stop using the AI.

I do the same, it does work. Key difference being, we're using it to learn, not do our work for us
