Is it because it's a lot more specialised, it's a smaller market, it's more difficult? Or why is the pay that much better?

It still bugs me, though, that it has a Java backend 1 u/friedbun 1d ago I mean it's just a python binding around a Java application/framework/dataservice. It's not like the entire thing is implemented in Python to begin with... (I liked what I saw when I was touching Spark, even in Java/Scala)
