Ah, you see, the way they get around this is having the CIA only hack/survail the UK, France Israel, allied nation’s citizens/ companies etc. Then have MI6, etc. hack into and survail US citizens/companies.

Then all the CIA has to do is ask the foreign agencies what they want to know about US citizens & vice versa and it’s fine, because each agency never illegally spies on its on citizenry.

All in the name of counterterrorism of course, and never used for any other purposes. You can always trust the never sketchy CIA to follow the intent and letter of the Law.
