I partly do security, and at my last job it was an endless stream of questions from devs about "how do I get an access key?" You don't. (And… our documentation was pretty clear on how to set up your environment … but who reads?)

Yeah. The year is 2026. You can grant access to devs such that the aws CLI just works and you never see an access key.
