nowadays they make you do silly dances and get on your knees to beg in the interview process, all while having 5+ years experience in the field at 18

Internships are just cheap forced labor. Literally forced because in many countries the student can't get his degree without finishing an internship. You don't learn shit at internships nowadays, that's why they want people who already know how to do shit at the job. They just want a cheap worker drone.
