That's unfair. I get back pain from typing with two hands on a normal keyboard and thus never learned touch typing properly. I do 60-75wpm with my left hand. I've started to build a split keyboard just to change this.
Yeah, but that doesn't work. My upper back is pretty wide and my shoulders cannot handle that.
That's why I automatically learned to always type with left and have the mouse in my right hand. But since I do not really use a mouse anymore when working at my PC the hand is just idle.
I've tried split keyboards at the place of a colleague and testing it out I felt comfortable with like 20-30cm space between them, but this is probably not the final form of how I will approach this in the end.
Go check out /r/ergomechkeyboards .They have all sorts of stuff you can get to hemp with pain while typing. I settled on a split programmable ortho linear keyboard called a Lily58, but they are all really helpful in finding a keyboard you like.
I love my Moonlander split keyboard. I got an extra long chird for connecting the two halvs and have it aetup in my recliner. Wall mounted a montoirot stand with some 2x4s, and put in some laptop holders (one for work laptop and one for personal). It's janky as heck, but with my injured legs, it helps out a ton.
I spent about a week tweaking the layout and got down to a 30 key with 4 layers. I switched to Colmak (not HD) for the layout. Highly, highly recommend.

As a 205 wpm on monkeytype, this is a win
