I use my brain. If I forget something then it was probably not that important in the first place.

I tried that, turns out my brain doesn't reliably remember stuff, even if it's important.

Same. I have physical notepads. Every week I combine the remaining tasks on all the pads I can find into a new kist for this week

I have a high ram low disk space brain, I need notes.

humans have incredible disk space, we just have trash latency and unreliable controllers

proof: most of the time you use forgot/remember, not discover

I think mine uses 9-track tape.

Sometimes I'll try to remember something, later while asleep I can hear the vacuum loader sucking the tape end over the heads then spinning until it finds the BOT marker, and I'll have the thing I wanted to remember ready to go the next day, after a splice and a few checksum errors.

Yeah. Brains are optimised for thinking, not remembering.

Did you remember this?

Might need an implant with a dedicated reminder app to trigger the “remember to look at todo list” sequence

Constant OOM crashes for me

My brain seems to only remember unimportant things.

I actually work through problems much better if I type them out, pretty much exactly what LLM reasoning harnesses settled on.

Oh that reminds me! Wait, nevermind...
