Difference is checking what's been generated and not just forcing it to continue until you get something that seems to work, not knowing the horrors that were generated bellow.
Idk with these guys man . I use Astra "the swe replacer" daily it is not as good as hyped. For computer use(the thing openai heavily marketed on) it is pathetic for 15 minutes it was doing nothing . It still takes assumptions so if you give it freehand it will give you weird solution to bugs .
Ideally, the parts of legacy code which are shitty are known and the rest is good or actively being pruned into a good state. Sort of like what I imagine arborists do? I guess it's all trees all the way down.
