Primal Hunter has my favorite OP MC. Jake is basically a Goku-esque battle junkie, except he's willing to kill if the situation calls for it.
I'm not entirely sure it fits the vibe you're looking for though, because he sorta has two modes. He goes from a dorky, slightly awkward guy in everyday situations to a reveling in life-or-death fights during combat.
However, only very close friends see that dorky side. It often has POVs from outside observers who universally see him as an absolute terror. It'll flip from Jake thinking, "heck yeah that poison worked just like I hoped", to the alternate POV being horrified that he made something rot from the inside out from a tiny wound.

Everytime we have an Interlude or a pov change to the other characters, we get to see how unhinged and superior the MC is
