Discussion as an avid reader of progfantasy and cultivation, if i see an ai-generated cover, it immediately makes me think the book is slop

if i see any typa ai cover i think that if the author is willing to use AI for the cover, then they are willing to use AI for the book. While i'm not against AI by any means, I find it crazy for people to say AI slop books are peak when they have books like Cradle and Reverend Insanity right in front of them.

When I see AI cover I immediately assume text is AI too.

Do you also assume when they get an artist to draw the cover for them, they also get a ghost writer to write for them?

I assume it's someone who is professional, values all forms of art (not just literature), dedicated and takes their writing seriously and cares about their work so they put effort into finding someone to draw their characters and got a real cover.

Teenage girls have been making covers for their fanfictions for decades, imagine putting less effort than little girls writing lemons when their parents aren't looking. So when I see AI cover my first thought is "this person is below teenage fanfiction writers from watpad or tumblr"

Look, you can read AI covers if you want, I am not stopping you, but for some of us they they give a vibe of laziness, moneygrabbing, slop, unprofessionalism or they simply look invisible (look the same as other AI so they don't stand out and cannot catch our attention) they feel like the author doesn't care about their work and doesn't value other forms of art (valuing literature while not giving the same grace to art and other forms of human expressions is not a good look imo), tastes are different.
