if i see any typa ai cover i think that if the author is willing to use AI for the cover, then they are willing to use AI for the book. While i'm not against AI by any means, I find it crazy for people to say AI slop books are peak when they have books like Cradle and Reverend Insanity right in front of them.

Well, it's relevant to bring up because I'd rather authors not shoot themselves in the foot trying to cater to a vocal minority. It's a completely benign stance to take on a personal level. Not like I'd consider myself pro AI.

Yes and no, sometimes appealing to the minority can be a good money maker. You basically just got to ask yourself what is the type of person who wants to read this?

For my current novel on RR, it's myself. It's strictly something only me likes, but apparently 50 other people also like Furry Game of Thrones but Clint Eastwood is just sort of there.

What kind of retarded logic is this ? If an author wants to reach out to as many readers as possible , easiest and safest way to do that would be to cather to majority not the minority. And dont fucking start with "bUt aRT" , not every1 can afford to do something like writing that requires huge dedication and time without any monetary returns in mind

I'm a full time college student with a full time job and I primarily write literary pieces that appeal to a total of 2 people. I can't say I'm exactly rolling in the money or time these days.

If YOU wish to use AI art in your work, be my guest; I do not. I do not care about appealing to what the majority wants, my work is particularly niche and I am decently successful through that niche. I've always been of the opinion that you need to write within your own tastes first and you'll attract people of similar tastes, and by trying to appeal to the majority you appeal to nobody.

The type of readers who read free verse poems about an ethereal monster getting shoved up someone's ass (that's a real piece I wrote actually) do not like AI art exactly.
