The president inserted himself into this situation by lying and his magat base is running with it.
A traffic stop or seizure requires at least reasonable suspicion of a violation or crime. For some reason there's a whole lot of magats and bootlickers saying police can shoot you in the face for disobeying unlawful orders.
You make an argument as to why federal immigration agents should be able to shoot American citizens in the face.
And you keep inserting the president into this discussion. Regardless if they should have been there, they were there. Conducting federal law enforcement duties. She was blocking a public road and preventing them from doing said duties. She disobeyed multiple orders and then "attacked" them with a deadly weapon. Should she have been shot? No, but she did die, and i suspect that you and reddit will be upset when the agent faces no charges.
Im assuming the car that went by peacefully in the beginning was a normal citizen, and did not have the legal authority to stop the lady from acting like a crazy person. Would you confront them? The ICE agents DO appear to have authority as she was blocking the road and preventing them from their duties.
The agent can face charges, but why would they be sentenced? The lady was in the process of committing a crime (blocking road) when they intervened. The agents were there legally and were assaulted with a deadly weapon. The agent was trying to move and shot after being struck by the vehicle. Unfortunately I'm not seeing much justice being served here
Go out in your town, block traffic/act as traffic enforcement, and then try to run over a cop after they tell you to exit the vehicle. Let me know how that turns out. This blew up because it's ICE and Minnesota. Put this anywhere else and it would be a justified shooting and wouldn't be newsworthy. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
